So 5-10 years ago, this would be political suicide and the rhetoric was never this violent and polarized.

I worry where we will be in the next 5-10 years if this trend continues.

It's not that we didn't listen, it's that people who would be dead within 40 years made decisions to horde short term wealth instead of ensuring the world would continue for more than a generation or two more. They used their excessive resources to convince people that there wasn't a problem so that they could keep more money.

Why be proud of an economy when it does nothing to help you stop suffering? That's something that touches probably 80-90% of people.

It probably wasn't their fault and devices are easily hacked. Someone in support of the good cause changed those lights, but it may not have been the owner of the device. It's a bad idea to keep dumb devices connected to the same wifi that connects to the internet, or at least without a lot of security in place.

Ah, the old "I'm sucking your money tit as long as I can while my industry dies and I refuse to innovate with my profits" tax.

Cool, the GOP gave the short sighted, single issue politicians power, and now those idiots will make sure to keep this gop-vote-killing issue at the front of everyone's mind going into a national election.

This is quickly becoming a crisis for the next twenty years but nobody is doing a god damned thing to actually fix the cost of living issue.

We need to vote in people affected by this, not benefitting from it.

Maybe not the best idea to give software with incredibly profound social impacts to an age group that has not developed the capacity to understand the ramifications and consequences of their decisions.
