Any of the Horizon games, genuinely some of the most beautiful games I have ever played. Zero Dawn has some downright beautiful winter environments. And while I’ve barely started Forbidden West, that game is a step up from the from the first game from the very first moment you get control of Aloy. So pretty! I recommend watching the trailers to see more

Was looking for this in this comment section, I see this solution as becoming the goto for moving between installs even though it is limited right now

I think it was Bleach on adult swim at night as a kid after all the other stuff like robot chicken and aqua teen hunger force ended. Could also be DBZ though

I really need to move off Lemmy.ml, moving all my saved stuff seems like it's going to be annoying though

I might be wrong since I haven't checked for the location in gnome 40 but there should be tab in the main settings app for it; if not just search workspace in that app and it should come up.

It’s actually really funny you say that since starting out with default gnome is actually what got me to stick with Linux. I tried out Ubuntu style gnome and tried stuff like dash to panel and dash to dock but found it either unstable or hated it. Vanilla gnome is what got me to be at peace lol. I thought I didn’t like it at first but then it just suddenly clicked once I got over that. Calling it bad is just rude.

Oh yeah for sure I’m just mentioning what it means in this context. Definitely means snap is more insecure off Ubuntu though.

Actually regarding the app department (caveat is that I have an iPhone looking to switch to android), there has been a huge wave of developers making apps for mobile Linux or making their apps compatible. So much so that someone like me (I download everything that’s shiny) has more than had his app needs met and exceeded by what has been released.

Actually my main reason for wanting mobile Linux to succeed is because these apps look and work so good. Especially the gnome ones, the app ecosystem alone makes mobile Linux desirable.

Honestly, even more so when you consider how mobile linux could potentially get Apple levels of cross-device integration (without the baggage), and the ability to have the same UI on your phone and computer. I want to use gnome and libadwaita apps everywhere lol.

I guess that’s fair, I rarely need to switch between windows that heavily so workspaces setup with what I need when I need to switch makes vanilla gnome work perfectly for me. Especially since hitting the super key let’s me see everything at a glance. I also hate tiled setups since they make me super unproductive as the windows are more cumbersome when they aren’t maximized or floating.

Something about whitespace and negatives I guess. Same thing that makes libadwaita the nicest ui toolkit to me. Kde was just too busy while libadwaita and gnome struck the best balance between usability and visuals.

I think it’s just a case of different people enjoying different things.

I think the main reason why the implementation is insecure by default is simply because when it started most applications did not use portals and many portals we have today did not exist. You had to poke holes in the sandbox to make anything work cause all applications expected to run unconstrained. In the future as more apps become flatpak aware this should stop being an issue.

You’re probably my favorite lemmy artist. Your comics never fail to make me smile.
