I've seen it a few times in passing and always assumed it was like, a tech demo or proof of concept.

To be fair, the offer letter mentions he is working from a remote office (and is able to hire an assistant of his choosing). I'm hoping this whole supercommute nonsense isn't daily and instead like.. monthly for some meeting or something.

Who am I kidding though, a $10M signing bonus? He gets up to $250K per year of personal use out of the jet? They'll even reimburse him $50K of legal and advisory fees he incurs having the offer reviewed by his own lawyers. That's where I stopped reading.

What we can work on is awareness. If iOS users are aware, they can choose to simply go to the website directly and make the purchase, instead of using the app. They can still use the app for consumption.

I've had to carrier unlock two devices from T-Mobile. You've already returned it, but if anyone else faces a similar situation: for whatever godforsaken reason, DMing them on Twitter is the way that has always worked for me. There is back and forth, but usually they set you right.

The law is for devices that come out of the box with a weak default. Like buying a wifi hotspot where the default is "admin123" would be bad. The default being random and printed on a label in the device is probably what this is aiming to usher in.

That's where I thought the joke was going when I first read it.

The company I work for got bought out and from my perspective things have only improved. From the perspective of the random customer who has the first thing go wrong in half a decade though? Those immediately blame the acquisition.

Nice, it's been a while since I saw the classic fallacy fallacy in the wild.

No, there is no goal only you'll be so busy calibrating and optimizing and upgrading the printer you won't have time to be lonely.

There is only printer.

Just because some people might break into my house doesn't mean I'll stop locking my doors.
