Her national security advisor tweeted this today:

Translation: "We're going to continue Biden's ineffectual policy of begging Israel to please be nice as they're dropping the bombs we keep sending them."

Would've preferred a Max win

I know. When will the poor lad start winning some races?

Yup, this pretty much sums it up.

To add, the vast majority of the antisemitism complaints involved other Labour ministers liking and posting anti-Israel Tweets that were consider too extreme. These ranged from ones that "crossed the line" of criticism against Israeli policy and the Israel lobby in the UK (some of which you can read in the report on pages 27-30) to ones that allegedly blamed Jewish members of the Labour party for making false complaints, or even tried to dimish the Holocaust (although I can't find the exact details of those).

Either way, none of the complaints involved Corbyn himself but his reputation was tarnished and it made him an easy target for his opponents.

I didn't say they weren't politically powerful. The two main Haredi (Ultra-orthodox) parties are significant part of Netanyahu's coalition, and they have always had a disproportionate power compared to the Haredi population because almost all Haredi voters vote for them.

Within the Haredi community there is still a wide range of opinions, of course. However, even within Israel most have not traditionally described themselves as Zionists (only 33% percent, according to a 2016 survey).

There's a good chance that the 2003 Iraq war wouldn't have happened, though. That was very much a Neo-Con project of the Bush administration.

I'd argue it's the opposite. To most of the people who attacked the encampment, Palestinians are just some faceless brown Arab people half a world away, whereas the protesters are the SJW/Marxist/Anti-Americans who are ruining America.

The former, they are more or less indifferent to; the latter, they really hate.

I use FLAC for long-term storage, 256kbps Ogg when transcoding for mobile devices.

Opus is the best lossy codec in terms of efficiency, but many devices/apps don't properly support it.

That reminds me of this real exchange in the Missouri state legislature regarding the "Don't Say Gay" bill that banned any mention of "sexual orientation or gender identity" in schools.

Except Debian is neither interesting nor innovative.

Seriously? Fucking hell, that's depressing.

Am I living in a backwards world where Linux uses the invasive complicated way and Windows uses the private simple way?

I mean, you chose xfce and that's a DE which makes you do everything the hard way anyway.

Both KDE and Gnome have the functionality you're looking for straight out of the box.
