What?! Of course I didn't! You're imagining things!

Final hours in office so far.

As cool as I think the knapping and clay working mechanics are, I also quickly decided that they were tedious. I do mean to get back to it though since I didn't get much further than that, and I definitely missed a lot of what is there. Maybe playing solo did it no favors.

Local by default, option to go remote. Even the privacy-first types might want to offload that to a more powerful local machine.

They could even sell access to a Mozilla provided AI server like they do with the VPN service.

Not very well! But things can improve, and I appreciate the gesture.

Right? If I talk about Project 2025 to most people around me they'll be super excited and do whatever they can to make sure it happens.

And that basically confirms that it's a remaining problem with admin accounts taking remote mod actions. l suppose in the mean time I'll try to have an admin at lemmy.ml give my @bilb@lemmy.ml account moderator status as a workaround. The other original moderator who could do it isn't very active.

I couldn't find an open bug ticket for this on Github, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. I'll take another look and report it if I still can't find anything.

I think you have to be logged in to view a person's feed now though.

This isn't true, I think. You can have an instance that federates with nearly everyone but which still has a higher standard for behavior for its own users. This way, users on such an instance can see all the problematic instances but are not permitted to be problematic themselves. It's an option.

(Even still, I think you'd find yourself de-federating from someone eventually for spam or other technical reasons if not due to objections over content.)

That's really not an easy switch to make. It's not as simple as replacing blink with gecko. If it was, we would see many more gecko based browsers.

I'm pretty satisfied with Kagi after using it for a bit over two months.
