FLAC. Pretty much perfect, lossless compression for great sound quality.

The craziest part about all this is that they claim to have found a method to get factual information from an LLM.

Worrying that OpenAI wasn't willing or able to fix this vulnerability within 60 days.

"why are these teenagers so stressed?!?" The article said.

Maybe because they have very few opportunities for a happy, prosperous, rewarding life?

And of course the Republicans use the deaths as a talking point.

I used Borg to backup a bunch of dev servers a few years ago, about 5TB from several dozen hosts, over several years. It worked flawlessly, and its dedupe is downright magical.

The restore workflow, where you just mount a snapshot and copy what you need, is fantastic. Very straightforward and reliable.

Yes. Because this post is not on twitter. It's on a site called lemmy.world. I don't think it even looks like twitter?

If you want no mention of twitter or the musky chodelet, I recommend Connect, a Lemmy app for Android. It features a keyword block list, so you can add as many twitter related keywords as you need.

Venkman carries thorazine around with him. Just in case.

It's grimly amusing to watch this movie now vs 4 decades ago. Venkman in the 80s is a lovable rogue. Venkman seen through the lens of 2023 is an abusive asshole who might drug women. He uses his position of power to lie his way into getting "dinner" with a young woman.

How much of that is Murray rather than the character?

It's an interesting exercise to watch movies from back then to see what today is shocking behaviour. Anyone have any movies they used to love but now are embarrassed by?

I wonder how quickly the other defendants will act, and what will they do?

Will we see a domino effect of flips to guilty pleas?

Were the 2 arrested people employees of the daycare? From descriptions it sounds like the owner and her daughter were very proud of their daycare. I'm wondering what events led to someone storing and dividing fentanyl in a fucking daycare.

EDIT:

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/17/nyregion/opioid-bronx-daycare-fentanyl-murder-charge.html

According to that, the owner was one of those arrested.

It's also amazing to me that people will handle fentanyl in anything other than clean room conditions. That shit is wildly dangerous.

I think a lot of people who dislike burning man are envious of the glamour and money being flaunted there. Lots of beautiful people, nudity, drugs, money, and partying.

Which I can definitely understand. A lot of people would love to be able to just drop what they're doing and go walk around a desert playing at steampunk dress-up.

Doesn't twitter have a bunch of debt it has to repay each year?

I wonder who is downvoting these.
