There are plenty of places where they don't lie to you about PTO benefits, pay, and have some group insurance plan/program.

I understand why Queen B or T Swift aren't doing it, but the only moral activity (beyond survival tasks) that a "good billionaire" can be engaged in is redistributing their wealth to marginalized workers.

You can figure out your next album / tour or how to benefit your friends and family once you get to 999M USD.

We use it as medicine for our dog. And, if you have parasites, it's good in human doses. I think it can also be given prophylactically. I haven't seen any evidence it should be used to treat any virus, respiratory or other.

On my phone? All the damn time, since I use a lot of jargon and shorthand that it doesn't understand, as well as a few neologisms. But, I'm a much worse typist on my phone.

On my Linux desktop or $dayjob's Windows laptop? Almost never, as it is much less aggressive about replacing what I typed.

I also generally prefer a Condorcet Method (ranked choice, single winner) over mixed-member-proportional, but either one would be a massive improvement over our current system.

I'll take Approval voting, even.

There are still people that distrust government as a general principle AND still believe the GOP is the party of "small government" so they will vote for whatever name is next to the R.

I might have to buy one just to support that union.

Careful with "American Made" tho; they often mean Guam or American Samoa which both get right shafted by government and policy.

I've never gotten pivot_root to work well / as documented. Major props for being able to pull this off. Hopefully you didn't have much time where a connection-drop would require a reboot. SSH in the new root on an alternate port before the pivot? idk.

logically sound argument

Not even a little. Trump is wrong about what the problems are, and proposes "solutions" to the non-problems that we know will make them worse.

Plus, he's old and weird, and he running mate might be young-ish, but double-weird instead.

When given the option, read the instructions, and save for future reference. (A URL / bookmark doesn't count as saving unless you control the hostname (including DNS).)

IMO: When you do it for the entertainment/feeling/rush, it's gambling. When you do it for the returns, it is investing. I also think the other poster that mentioned investing as being interested in the success of the endeavor, that would exclude shorting and I think might be a useful distinction.

Casino games and sports betting all have lower expected value (probabilistic value) than their cost, so they are not something you can do for returns (you have better expected returns by not participating).

There are plenty of people that are misinformed, dishonest, or stuck finding a bigger fool that will sell you a gamble by calling it an investment, and expected value is not guaranteed value.

Multiple hour-long interviews I'm actually fine with. It's not ideal, but in that case at least the company is also spending resources on the process.

Homework / pre-interview projects that take more than a hour is unreasonable, to me. I have public repositories / commits I can share with you if you want to see how I write code.
