“Pedestrians jaywalk, walk drunk or stoned,” said Richard Brandi, a historic preservationist who lives in West Portal. “Nothing is going to stop those accidents.”

Maybe not driving a car into them would stop those accidents?

What you're describing sound more like relief than happyness.

I felt somewhat similar when my dad died. He was drinking and declining mentally. Of course it saddened me, but with us having our first born at the same time, it was also a huge relief not having to deal with his issues in that situation.

It's a reference to a previous speech in which he attempted to create an imaginary dilemma of having to choose between being electrocuted or eaten by a shark. That's the "clever question", because the boat salesman had never heard anyone ask that question.

The boat salesman was probably just being polite, because it's a stupid question. It's not a dilemma or even a contradiction. He's just making a sort of false equivalence and hoping that people are afraid of sharks so he can sell them his opinion on electric boats. In the same speech he also spent considerable time talking about how people ought to be afraid of sharks.

The addition of a snake and the credibility of his late uncle is a wonderful development of the story. He's probably going to add more stuff to it until he touches some topic that people actually care about..

Another odd thing is that their oil fund owns about 1.5% of all globally listed stock shares. That's a lot by capita, since their population is less than 0.07% of the global population.

Thank you for the invitation. Unfortunately I'm busy that day.

Anyway, we should start at the top and work downwards. It's a waste of ammo to kill all the involuntary cannon fodder. If the top goes, Russia would have to reconstruct, however that might turn out.

Following all kinds of politics, local, domestic and international, it's extremely frustrating to watch how one project after another gets approved without even considering the pledges that were already made.

It's not taken seriously at all. Apparently biodiversity is a potted plant along road expansions, ground water means drainage in the parking lot and trees are obstructing the seaside views.

I don't think this is going to (or should) stop people applying for AI invented parents.

However.. I do think that the cost of applying for a patent should be a lot more to avoid spamming.

It's like the guy who wanted to use a computer to compose all possible combinations of notes in music with the purpose of copyrighting all music. I'm like.. didn't you also just break the copyright for all existing music?

Anyway, I don't mind people using computers or AI, but patent trolling and spamming shouldn't be financially feasible. Make the product first or fuck off.

It all looked like pills to me until I read the text. Couldn't even see plates for a while.

Anyway, I noticed that the top right rectangular one doesn't match the perspective when seen as face down. All the other ones are round, so they don't insinuate a perspective at all. That's why that plate is the key.

Sometimes construction makes for unexpected detours.

(I should probably mention that it's also a dead end road, so no backing out)

The dissolution would “unquestionably inflict severe and irreparable harm not only to [Trump and other defendants] but to innocent nonparties and employees who depend on the affected entities for their livelihoods”.

No.. the dissolution won't do that. Trump did that.

The funny thing is that when employees are unionised and getting paid fairly, they can spend their time working on serious stuff instead of constantly fighting against being exploited.

The professional and successful companies know this well enough. It's all the personally owned shit stores that think the owner himself can outsmart everyone by stealing nickles from their own employees to finance the underbidding of other companies and thereby delivering a shit product. Grow the fuck up already.

Quality work is done by qualified people who takes enough pride in their work to join a union of people who does similar kind of work, instead of winging it like a poorly paid servant.
