I went to get a chicken burger from Red Rooster. They left me sitting at the drive thru window for ages after Iโ€™d ordered at the box. Eventually I saw one of the cooks walk up to the guy who was meant to come and see me, he had my burger in his hand and must have said โ€œcan I give this to the drive thru?โ€ or something and the guy said yes so he comes over and hands me the burger, says have a good night and closes the window. Notice that at no point had I paid.

I donโ€™t know if itโ€™s just because Iโ€™ve been playing too much cowboy video game but I just left with my burger. Peeled out of there like Iโ€™d pulled off a heist. So Iโ€™m officially an outlaw now. Life is rough on the other side of the law but it sure is excitinโ€™! Yeehaw!

I recommended to the boss on Tuesday that we should get an Apple Watch to test because our customers will likely have them and use them with our managed Apple devices, so we need to be able to see what managed data is available to them and test policies applicable to their use.

2 have been ordered and arrive tomorrow :D

New toyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. That's a MacBook Pro, iPad Air, iPhone and now Apple Watch. I'm collecting Apple products like Pokemans.

I just dreamt about the end of the world. It was really cinematic and had a cast of characters, none of them me but at times I was each of the characters. It had a series of time jumps and stories playing out about their lives before the finale which was in the future where there were millions of satellites in the night's sky. They were all different colours and shapes and clusters and zipped by closer than felt comfortable. Then they'd found a way to project a reflection of the earth in the sky so you could see all of the countries, and did a presentation on them which felt like a "thank you for your time here on earth, humans" where they showcased humanity over the years from every walk of life. It was all very impressive but it also felt very โ€œbig corporationโ€ which felt fitting for where weโ€™re headed.

Then during a random moment of conversation with one of the aged characters, one of the only remaining original ones who hadn't died off, the waves came. The first was large enough to know it was about to be the end. Then right after it the character was floating and could see the second world ender coming, gasped and then lights out and I woke up.

I haven't even talked about the story of her life or her late husband's life which was its own thing. There was sadness, redemption, fame, failure, regret and wrestling. And randomly, a pool of hippos which was under their huge warehouse where they lived. You could get to it from under their bed. Weird.

Anyway I just kinda wanted to journal this because it was kind of epic. It even had side characters who felt like they had their own journies over the time jumps, or had their own troubles which were suddenly gone and seemed trivial but also not trivial at the time, but were just the past after the time jumps and those characters had passed.

In the office today. Nothing exciting going on. I do have a test iPhone 15 I'm considering trying out (moving my personal sim over to it) but I'm so embedded into the Android/Google ecosystem that I don't know if I can be bothered. Plus it'd render my smartwatch somewhat useless, at least while I use the iPhone which wouldn't be permanent.

I will likely change my mind in the next 15-20 minutes and just do it. I'm a wildcard.

Heading home today from my house and dog sitting duties. I thought I was going to be back in a few months for longer but it seems like my parents are going to cancel their upcoming Vegas trip.

This does open the door of possibility for me... I could go somewhere. I shall ponder. Ponder I shall.

Everyone loves lamb! Unfortunately, Nanna also lives in Mildura so no lamb for her. Not from me anyway.

I'm grateful that I'll be able to get one of those awesome sausage rolls for lunch from the bakery with the nice sausage rolls today. I'm also grateful to my parents dog Vegas who is a sweetheart and has been comfortable and happy with the 2 air conditioner repair dudes in the house at the moment (after an initial cautious sniff introduction when they got here)

Wow the music down at the Firelight festival is louder than any music I've ever heard from any event and that includes NYE celebrations. Usually the music barely registers with me but it's proper loud. Yelling get out of my yard from the balcony has proven unsuccessful. Stupid festival. Might go down there soon just coz though.

I had a super vivid dream that I was really really high and tripping out. High in both senses because I was laying on the roof of a tall apartment building and it seemed to be bending over to tip me off. I felt the actual fear and that feeling you get of when you're about to fall off something but had to keep trying to tell myself it was in my head but it wasn't working. I was holding on for my life!
