Yeah, tried it a few years ago. It was fun, some are hard but explored areas which I probably wouldn't have paid any attention to.

If I were a content creator, why would I still need to let Google crawl my site. It probably won't bring any traffic to my site.

Kind of related question - any suggestions what to use if I want to skip this problem? I was looking for some headphones earlier and as explained in the article, most sites point to the same brands. I finally got to see some different brands/models and users reviews from forum group. The problem is I found those forums from Google... so any suggestions what I can try without being stuck in this google SEO vortex?
I wonder how the businesses around there are doing. If the area is getting worse, those restaurants and shops probably need to move out which makes the area even more abandon.
Its an interesting question. How to divide this pie among different groups- tourists, locals, condo owners.
