Work gave me a bag of lollies for R U Ok day and it's mostly those hard lollies that shred your tongue to pieces.

So 'if you are ok, you won't be' is what they're saying.

Why do universities insist on group assignments?

Right!

I'd love to say thank you but the way the world is, it probably isn't a good idea.

It's so nice how little my work have for my regard they schedule some randoms to have a meeting in my 'office' and not tell me.

So work from home today.

Arts Tasmania have writing awards open for submissions and I submitted 3 stories (2 of my kids horror and one unpublished one). The likelihood of winning is slim, but I can't help think about what winning might do for my bonafides. And then I start thinking about what I'd say as an acceptance speech.

I've always had that habit of thinking about everything that could happen if things turn out as desired (rarely ever do). It's something I wish I could do and then forget about until the time comes up.

Does anyone else do this though? Plan for something and then get excited/think about the possibilities? I feel like I jinx myself by doing it.

I am keen for this day to end. I am making a double cheeseburger for dinner and gonna watch that new Aussie show, Fake with Asher Keddie and David Wenham.

No spoilers, but enjoyed Deadpool and Wolverine. It was pretty funny and entertaining.

Two times this week I got the dreaded 'you seem like a great guy' from online dating apps.

The first had bad experiences in the past with guys who have the same first name as me.

The second we were going to meet up tomorrow for the first time but messaged today to say they've reconnected with a guy from their past so cya.

I understand the reasons but boy, with the lady who 'isn't one for pushing drugs on people, but I think you should take some of my medication', and one who said she just left a cult, online dating apps have not been fun (though, interesting).

So I did my tax online last night. I owe money. Seems like HECs debt is the reason.

Can I go back to being a kid?

Put together my new bed last night. Added the mattress. Took a good 3 hours by myself, but it didn't break apart (and only one minor mistake that I managed to fix without having to take everything apart). So I call that a win.

Slept like a baby. Bit sore today though. I guess a mix of putting the bed together and the new mattress.

Now it's clean up. Soooo much styrofoam. The cardboard is in the car to take to the transfer station. Then gotta put the old bed in the car for the next trip. And then somehow get the mattress there.

In other news, my next Tassie western short story is releasing on Friyay!

The amount of dumb stuff I would have posted if social media was a thing when I was a kid...

Bet if you dump it in front of the Council or EPA CEO's house something gets done.
