Every time you shake someone's hand, remember statistically some of them were fingering pussy or touching dick more recently than the last time they washed their hands. The more you know 🌈

I would say to run, but you're already married. I get myself out of painting by continuously - and I have to do it all the time because I also run a nonprofit where people are always insane about paint colors - I just say color isn't my thing, I delegate color selection to one person (I'd suggest OPs wife) and I don't get involved or help. If someone doesn't like a color, they know who to talk to. And even if they want help I just remind them I don't care about color and to ask someone who cares to help.

I actually do care, but I disagree with everyone around me so this is just a way of picking my battles. I have chosen not to care about color only because it saves me time and energy.

Dear asshole, we hate everything about your industry. Signed, fucking everyone except a few other rich assholes.

Most people need a major traumatic life event to go into Punisher mode. Those events are happening more often, and if bullets (or nukes) ever really start flying people will pick sides really quickly. Their food and sports entertainment aren't supporting cultural lethargy as well as they used to.

Damn I'm in the wrong nonprofit lol. Building, activity and pay & benefits for 7 employees come in under $400k total budget/expenses and we have distributed millions and millions of pounds of food in the last few years.

So close. You could have gone to Linux.

I could actually really use a new TV but I'm barely affording groceries. I want black Friday sales on cans of soup and frozen chicken, AND TVs.

I used to help nonprofits with free or at-cost PCs and to help with that I accepted donations of old stuff. Most was scrap and I'd salvage a few parts and recycle the rest.

One PC was donated from a paint shop. Here's a picture that doesn't show everything, but enough. Yes there was rust on the PSU and even parts of the motherboard. Yes it was still running Windows XP and booted up fine. This was 2016.

I start work at 4 am. I do work 4a - 8p one day a week but some days I'm done by noon. Usually by 1:30pm. I'd love to show up at his office at 4:30 am and post, "where's the hustle?"

It was the stupidest of ideas. Republicans were never going to vote for her in any numbers. She was all about gun control, she personally owned the 12 million border crossings, she had all those defund the police sound bites from her earlier years, and she couldn't effectively separate herself from the difficult economy for middle and low earners - while failing to communicate that she even cared about the common man's plight or would try to help it. Even her proposed tax plan raised taxes on lower middle class, at least the charts I saw (including here on Lemmy). And Republicans have seen four years of Trump and think all the Nazi and "all Republicans are racist" talk is literally the stupidest thing on the earth. Abortion was all Dems really had, and although lots of Republicans are pro-choice, Trump had promised to veto a national abortion ban (for whatever that's worth).

I remember when Democrats were for the working people. They need to stop being "We're not the Nazis"and start telling us who they are. But I don't think they want to tell us who they are. They're no longer the party of the working man, they're the party of corporate interest and global governance, and they're also almost as authoritarian as the right. Maybe the collapse of the Democrat party will result in the birth of an actual socialist party in the US. We've seen major party changes in the past. Will it happen again, soon?

Some of us are actually not Democrats or Republicans because we really think both sides are bad in different ways. I still voted though.

There's research on this, it's a confirmed human behavior. People park and sit etc near others. So good luck changing human nature.
