It only takes about 3% of the population to push effective revolution. That's still over ten million people. We might be getting close.
I was like fuck that's me. My hairline isn't great but I'm in my early 50s.
I don't know anyone that shares my commute, especially factoring taking my daughter to school. There's no public transport. I guess I'm hitler?
Yeah the cost FAR exceeded the value for out of state tuition plus dorms. And as her dad, I'm only two weeks from no income. I am self employed and have been contracted with a small nonprofit, but my pay is ending and I don't qualify for unemployment. All of my savings have been blown the last few years. Unfortunately when it comes to her college stuff, for now she's on her own.
My daughter did one semester and has spent the last year paying off debt from it, she paid off the big bill at least. She wants to go back, but this time at least she's listening to us about paying in-state tuition and not living in the dorms etc.
The OOP yes, the person who shared this here is suggesting the terrorists were almost heroes, but not quite.
I like watching guys build and run burnout cars on YouTube. If you think the tires are the expensive part, man are you in for a surprise.
I'm even in Cincinnati!
Democrats passed the ACA without any Republican support. They should have passed MFA then. It was terrible and made my life much harder at the time. It's better now, but barely. My wife has a low paying government job and her health insurance costs went up significantly more than her 2% raise. Both of us took cuts in net pay while food, property taxes and seemingly everything else went up. What have Dems done about housing, pay, taxes, food costs in the last term? Nothing. Oh, Biden got one drug to be cheaper. But I'm not a diabetic. Yet.
There's no question turnout is lower. Both Trump and Harris received fewer votes than Trump and Biden last time around. Neither of them are inspiring. Yeah Trump has a base, but a lot of Republicans don't like him but some still voted for him. Harris was uninspiring and had a lot of baggage from the last 3 and 1/2 years. She would not have won a primary in my opinion, if Biden hadn't insisted on going for a second term initially.
I always vote for who I perceive as the lesser evil of the two. This year is no different. I'm not excited about what either candidate wants to fight for. I will oppose whoever is elected on multiple fronts.
This. I'm in the US and was fully prepared to protest whether Harris or Trump won, I'm opposed to them both in different ways. Trump and team may get me off my ass very quickly though.
