Politically I’d argue it did get some democrats to wake up to the issue, maybe not to the extent most would like though. This could’ve been “solved” with Senator Lankford’s bill, but Trump had to … Trump I guess. Hopefully this is resolved soon in some way or another after the election.

Haven’t followed this too closely but it feels like a sticky situation doesn’t it. It’s really a question of if a software is responsible for its users or not, unless I’ve missed something.

Not great but not terrible. Will be interesting to see if we get a 0.25 or 0.5 rate cut. I’d argue for a 0.5 to be on the safer side, but the “bureaucratic inertia” is definitely on the 0.25 side.

There was a schism between the murdoch camp and the Trump camp after they called Arizona “super early” for Biden in 2020 and Trump threw a fit. That’s when NewsMax and OAN kinda became his preferred, publicly at least, news platforms.
