I know very little about the protests. I assume a small number of aggro cooker types kicked off against the cops creating a cascade of bullshit that the majority attending didn't want.
I gave my dog a steak for lunch cos it's his birthday. I mostly eat plant based these days, I can't remember the last time I cooked a steak. Kinda stinky.

I read an interesting discussion on someone claiming that they ate plant based food rather than being vegan, as veganism is a loaded term these days. Suggesting people eat a more plant based diet is an easier concept to internalise than veganism.

After about two months of holding out for op-shops to have a muffin tray, bowls and large jars at a reasonable price, I've bought them all at bigW for about half of what the salvos were asking. One place wanted $10 ea for large used Moccona jars, ffs. Used jars should be 50c imo.
Plan to go for an hour and a half. You don't have to empty your battery. Go early, leave when you notice the effects of alcohol on people.
I don't think they're putting as much carlo in the monty's anymore. There's quite the gap, it used to be all the way to the edge.
They'll start mining landfill for metals and probably plastic soon enough. Air it out, wash it, get the metal and plastic, don't worry about that other in the air/water, that's a future poor person's problem.
