True. But do I really need all those case fans that I'm holding onto? Or that big bag of DDR3? Probably not but it's cool ok...

My first answer would have been retro game collecting, but that's already been discussed, so I'll posit custom PC building. That's a hobby rife with keeping spare parts "just in case".

I just installed Bazzite about a month ago and love it! Used Ubuntu in the past and it was ok, but eventually went back to Windows. I definitely don't feel that way about Bazzite though, I think I might stick with it as my primary OS!

I've recently gotten hooked on the Yakuza series. The whole series goes on an aggressive sale pretty regularly on Steam. I'd recommend starting with Yakuza 0.

There's Nerrel who is both very entertaining and knowledgeable/informative about the N64 and emulation. He does use strong language so just wanted to point that out in case that isn't your cup of tea.

Splatoon 1 on Pretendo! Got my Wii U hooked up earlier this week after the official servers shut down.

It's sad to see it go. As a game preservationist, being able to back up and emulate your games is so important to me. Not to mention a game like TotK can't even reach it's full potential on a retail Switch, and Yuzu allows that game to be played in 4K at 60fps if you have the computing power to drive it. Overall, it was probably the right call for Tropic Haze to give in to Nintendo now rather than battle them (as much as I didn't want to see Nintendo win this) because a court battle could have challenged emulation as we know it. A settlement avoids that for now. I don't support piracy at all, but I can't say it suprises me considering how Nintendo treats its customers and the gaming community as a whole.

Yeah! There was a mini-game called "Chao Adventure" that would let your chao go for a walk with little events that would happen along the way. It was also the only way to see your chao's stats and name them.
