That’s an extremely poor choice of sponsorship for that particular video, made me laugh quite a bit

I don’t see how a purely magnetic watch band attachment could work for a watch, but I guess we’ll see. Would definitely be a shame to loose band compatibility.

I‘m not an expert on this topic, so someone correct me if I’m wrong. Signal is only storing stuff temporarily to pass it on, so I’m assuming you’d have the exact same costs even if it weren’t centralized. Maybe even more as it’s probably cheaper to have it managed in one place. I’m assuming all this would do is distribute the cost, but otherwise be the same?

I’m really curious, I can’t imagine many people choosing something other than google, but apparently google thinks enough people would to make it worth giving up almost 40% of their entire revenue.

Seems to me they’re mostly paying for the data they’re getting out of this, I can imagine they’d be making more money without the deal. Maybe slightly fewer users, but 40% more revenue.

This has been the best git tutorial I’ve come across so far. Nicely interactive and gamified. https://learngitbranching.js.org/

Maybe I’m the only one, but I’d like to have Home sorted by new and All sorted by hot. Ideally, there would be an option to persist sorting between these. But maybe I’m the only one who wants this.

I don’t think there’s an issue for that yet, the closest I’ve found was #725.

Opinions?

I’ve been jumping between password managers for a bit and I feel like sooner or later I’ll end up with iCloud Keychain, but currently I’m still sticking with something else because it only supports logins (website, username, password has to always be there).

For people already using it, where do you put your non-password stuff? PIN codes, software licenses, memberships, etc.

It’s been there for a while and the article is also a bit older, but I only recently saw this.

The news isn’t a surprise as Unity angered a lot of its loyal game developers a few weeks ago after pushing through a price increase based on numbers of downloads — and then retracted it after an uproar.

I missed 3D Touch when they took it away, but having the Haptic Touch speed increased is actually quite nice

It's also unclear if the updated AirPods will have any new features or changes beyond a USB-C charging case.

I‘m guessing the port change would be the only change then.

I quite enjoyed reading Scrum: The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time. It’s not the book that people are mad at, it’s the shitty implementation of what management thinks scrum is. Because they never read the book.

I especially like the bottom ones, not sure if aeharding would be willing to take them in because they look really close to Apollo, but I’d actually love to have them in the app.

Didn’t know that, thanks :)

I feel like there have to be real text exchanges similar to this, but I always assume they’re fake, because they’re just too easy to fabricate. I wonder how many of them were actually real and I just didn’t believe it. Would’ve made them way more funny (not saying it’s not funny if they’re not, but still)
