I've always wondered why this scene from "New York, I Love You" is used for Star Wars stuff.

I like the idea that these reviewers all had the concept for a perfect Barbie movie, and are then criticising this one for not living up to it.

I think that - like most people - when I heard that Gerwig was making a movie out of Barbie, I thought: how the hell is she going to do that?

This is great work. I assume LMAO was the same guy as Angled - it'll be an 1.7K communities nixed if the script is used for him (so, 19% of the total!)

There's some sticky posts for this community - on the importance of initially populating a community, and providing links (I've no idea where 'protest' is hosted)

Thanks. Subscribed.

The Name of the Wind is a brave first recommendation though. A little joke: for George R R Martin's unfinished work after he dies, Patrick Rothfuss has already been selected as the author to also not complete them.

For any weird, bigoted stuff, lots of downvotes and no replies is hopefully the message an OP needs to receive to get the hint that they should by plying their recruitment attempts elsewhere. Engaging them is probably the worst thing to do.

I've had to remember that there's automatic hiding though, and do that manually.

I'm still transferring stuff between my phone and computer using FTP, like some caveman.

That's the look of a woman who's going to take that thing with her to the bath.

Just seen it, had earlier dismissed as a kids film, but really enjoyed it.

There's a straightforward trans allegory, but it could also be applied to other situations where societies "make their own monsters". After all, the proverb "A child that is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth" is as old as humanity itself.
