I'm having some issues where comments are in the incorrect order graphically. I can't find a pattern either.

I don't get the arguments either way.

Buy the 512GB phone if you need it?

I've got a 2015 model in the bedroom and the newer 2019 model on the main TV.

It's still plenty fast for general TV app watching. In a new model I want AV1 and VP9.2 support (Future proof and to give youtube HDR).

HDMI 2.1 to gamestream 4k120hz gameplay. Other than that it still supports absolutely everything. Other enhancements that would be nice:

  • New remote without a Netflix button.
  • USB C ports
  • Better bluetooth radio, really struggles with my xbox controller.
  • Other HDMI 2.1 features like faster framerate/HDR switching.
  • 2.5gig ports (not necessary at all but why not)

Im running Windows 11 on my new laptop. Every major update it's like:

  • PLZ LET EDGE BE UR BROWSER
  • BRO PLZ, OFFICE SUBSCRIPTION
  • LOCATION?
  • Let me just install tiktok and FB apps.

My laptop officially supports Ubuntu, think I might make the switch full time. I don't game on my laptop and most of it's use is browser, plex and emails...

Been carrying these for about 3 years now. Love them. I've carried other lights, pens and knives but this is my most functional yet light setup.

  • Fisher Space Pen, blue fine.
  • Spyderco UKPK.
  • Maker E02.

!edc@sopuli.xyz

That's the one I've been using, not the most active but seems decent.

Back to the OP. I carry a Rovyvon A8x flashlight and yubikey on my keychain.

No, but a good option that still works:

  • Disable pocket from the FF home page.
  • Get your personalised RSS link from your pocket profile
  • Add it to RSS reader of choice
  • Click pocket button on article
  • Read in RSS reader
  • Never see sponsored crap

Na, you're being silly now.

There are algorithms working in the background on Reddit to keep you there. Same with pretty much all “social media”. They aren’t on Lemmy. The point of Reddit is to keep you there, and shove as many ads down your throat as possible. Ads don’t exist here, and no one (as far as i can tell) is making money from you being here.

I agree with what you're saying about the algorithms sucking you in, but disagree that's the biggest reason. Lemmy just doesn't have a lot of content, browse HOT or go through your subscriptions and you're done pretty quick.

Agree'd, people aren't contributing enough so it seems dead after a 30min check per day (might not be a bad thing).

If lemmy is to thrive and survive, post, comment and start discussions. That's what is addictive and provides value.

Yeah, the whole piracy crackdown situation is so stupid.

I pirate a lot of media, if you added it all up it would be a lot of money (if I was to buy everything). The difference is, before I pirated I barely bought any of the media.

  • I pirate some games that i'd never buy. I buy all games I want to support.
  • I pay TV licence, netflix and amazon. I pirate tons of TV series because they aren't on those services. I literally can't buy some of them and if I could i'd need about 10 different streaming services.
  • Films, I pirate a lot of films. Before I pirated I never bought any films, i'd either wait for netflix/normal TV or just not watch them. I still go to the cinema for big releases.
  • I subscribe on patreon, github and donate to LOADS of projects, many of which i've pirated first or obtained a copy of (books are a big one here).

If you were to objectively look at the value of the pirated media, it would seem that i've "stolen" or studios have missed out on lots of revenue, but the truth is I pirate a lot of media, just because I can.

Honestly good. Usb C is so good.

I have a couple of 100w chargers around the house, no messing about can charge nearly everything at full speed.
