Since Old Reddit will be dead soon, have a look at kddit and Eddrit. They're like Libreddit, but not blocked (yet). However, you should try to avoid using them, as they get ratelimited quite easily.

Yeah, I think they go into discovery mode until they find a previously-paired device when you turn them on.

I'll double-check the manual.

Kddit and Eddrit still work, though I don't want too many people to know about them, or else Reddit would probably block them.

There's also Remini, over in Geminispace.

What about iOS 17 Public Beta?

DVDs, people. DVDs and Blu-Rays.

Got it. First time I've written a license.

I don't like Brave as a company. Brendan Eich is an arsehole, Brave Browser has had (minor, but numerous) controversies, their crypto stuff is off-putting, and now they're sticking their new AI into everything.

We want search engines. GPT-3.5 has a knowledge cutoff in 2021, so I only really use it for software recommendations and text/code formatting.

Take a look at Alpine, Void, and (most importantly) Chimera Linux.

I currently use fruux (which is proprietary) to synchronise my to-do lists and calendars. However, I was wondering if there was a FOSS CalDAV service which I could use for free.

I have already looked into Nextcloud, and I don't believe it is what I'm looking for. I also don't want to use ProtonCalendar or Tutanota Calendar, as they only work with their own respective apps.

In a nutshell, I would like a service that:

  • Supports CalDAV
  • Is free (as in free beer)
  • Supports both calendars and to-do lists

EDIT: I am able to self-host some apps using Render, but they must be compatible.

I used to use Nitter to view Twitter posts without tracking. However, now that Elon has rate-limited everyone, I was wondering if there was any kind of Nitter-esque project that isn't affected by this?

I currently use Brave on my iPhone. It's pretty good, since it has built-in ad and tracker blocking; but if there's something better I'd like to know.

EDIT: I have just figured out a way to make the SnowHaze UX work for me. Here's my homepage:

Tabliss Web in SnowHaze browser

SnowHaze, for those who don't know, is a privacy-focused FOSS browser for iOS, iPadOS, and (I believe) macOS, which includes features such as:

  • Built-in ad and tracker blocking
  • Custom content blocking
  • No telemetry
  • Custom search engines
  • Custom homepages
  • JavaScript blocking
  • HTTPS forcing
  • XSS and tracking URL warnings
  • Passcode/biometric lock
  • Cookie blocking
  • Custom user agents
  • Canvas blocking
  • Idk, probably more
