I used to be a fan of LG TVs (we have 3 of them, last model is a 2021 Nanocell). Because of this alone LG will never see my money again. Thanks for the warning.
Tubular has been working for me (97.5763% of the time) and so has Grayjay (98% of the time).
However, I do agree that we need a more effective way to just watch and enjoy. Unfortunately most creators are not willing to even entertain the idea of moving to a different platform.
I believe that most self holsters actually are more hobbyist lifestyle than people with actual tech background.
I read and research a whole lot, which has taken me down this rabbit hole.
The option is there on my Pixel 8 Pro with GrapheneOS, but I have no idea if it will actually work, as I've never had a need to use it. But at least we know the option seems to be available.
I've seen you commenting on each option given that "it's too expensive". To help us help you, what is your budget and the minimum DPI you would be comfortable with? Be mindful that some advertised DPI are just that, "advertised".
I was almost crying while looking for drives to increase the storage space of my current 10TB drives in my UnRaid, because of the price.
You will now be known as "the tears-Minator".
Thank you so much for this link.
Oh, this is getting dangerous now.
OK, if they say so, it must be true. I mean, they bought it because they had nothing better to do with the money, and that they are a data mining company means nothing. They just wanted a Launcher because "why not?".
Just keep your Nova launcher and don't opt-in to the tracking, nothing will change. 🤔
I've been seeing too much of this lately. They can't get us to get their nasty tracking malware ridden software, so they bet on us being too stupid to move away from one they purchase because we used to trust it. Same thing that happened with the Simple apps suite.
We'll be seeing more and more of this moving forward.
Their answer, almost invariably, is "it's not the same, everybody shits, and everybody knows it". Sometimes I wish I was able to hack some of them just to show them. That'd get them moving.
Its a long journey, but totally worth it. When I chose to go fully self-hosted, I had around 1,200 accounts and passwords. First I used a temporary fake emailnsite to change my email and all the personal data I could from all the sites I wanted out of my life, then closed each account. Did a checkout wherever I could too. Then went into each account I wanted to keep where I was using a gmail address, changed my email to an alias (proton mail) and created a new random password for each (Bitwarden self-hosted). I'm down to about 100 accounts, including everything in my 2 jobs. The level of freedom I feel is unspeakable.
Tubular works like a charm like 98% of the time (which is way more than YouTube apps, LOL).
