Absolutely. I work for a company historically locked in Microsoft infrastructure. It's taken me close to 7 years, but we're finally finishing the migration of the in-house platform from Windows - only to kubernetes based and WEBGUI. Once that's done, everyone gets to choose what they use (windows, Mac, Linux, BSD) and moving forward my boss agreed that all company laptops will be from System76.

So, yeah, 7 years, but I never quit. 2K+ employees.

This is the unfortunate reality. My kids (11 and 9) have only ever used Linux distros, and they are keyboard warriors to boot. They say that the only reason to use the mouse is to aim in video games 🤣

When I look at my gut, I ask myself the same question 😭

So, a fork of LTT? Got it!

Very nice video. Beginners can really leverage it for a good and smooth(ish) start.

Yeah, now go crazy trying shit you probably should not be trying. From my perspective, that's the best perk of any Linux distro. Evidently, backup first.

Basically because Daniel "MacCock" behaves like a massive paranoid schizophrenic prick when he doesn't take very strong meds (that's my take on it anyway). And as others have mentioned, his claim to have stepped down is just that, "his claim". Everything points to him still very much being at the help of the project.

I like the project, but any software I use being directed by someone like that guy is a huge red flag.

If you're not going to be tinkering, and all you want is your computer to work, absolutely.

Normal technology situations created by normal human behavior. 😜

Hey, my wife wanted me to tell you that you're not welcome in our house, because now I'm about to do the same in our bathroom (with another distro, of course) 🤣🤣🤣

And this is why I didn't comment. I knew someone had already suggested the VM way. This is the best way to keep your stuff separate from work related.

Can we ask why you wouldn't use Mullvad Browser? I'm honestly curious about that. From my wireshark tests, that thing only hits what you tell it to hit, nothing else. Am I missing something?
