So is it safe to assume this isn't going to be a free and fair vote?
I didn't completely leave behind reddit. I still view, but I only comment/post on lemmy.
lol@ this. My bet what is actually happening: cost cutting or future nitro feature.
I don't think this will happen. What they want is for PCs to be like phones, a closed system where you are pretty much locked into installing anything you want on your PC(and thus anything you buy as well) from their exclusive app store. The cloud thing just extra expense for no real benefit to them. However if there's an opportunity to push one drive you can be sure they will. And MS has been trying to move in this direction since windows 8.
"people who are struggling still need a burger"
and that right there is why they raised their prices.
it will be a banking experience where musk will get all of your banking data. I bet that's why he's so into it and the "do everything" super app approach.
agreed, paywall. Not subscribing to a dozen different news websites, and bloomberg wouldn't make the cut anyway.
You know what would be hilarious? Eventually blue sky buys the leftovers of twitter and renames itself twitter. Although by that time it may not be a prudent move. So maybe not.
Lol, good luck at trying to get meta to listen to what users really want.
My only issue with this is that it is specifically directed at jewish people. This is common practice in america regardless of whether you're jewish or not. For example I'm circumcised and my parents have never been jewish. Otherwise yes, stop circumcising your kids.
Americans are desperate for change, but half of them want to go backward and half want to go forward. Add to that it basically takes a supermajority to pass legislation that makes real changes and well... you're pretty much left with things you can do via the executive branch.
So yes, a big part of the problem is that neither party really has the ability to appeal to the other "side" at all. We need sweeping social change before we get sweeping political change.
Probably because "save the planet" and "we're pumping more oil than ever" don't go well together.
