That's strange. When I click the link from my front page feed I get the above but clicking from the comment section it's fine 🤔

I'm unsure if there's something on Lemmy for that, but it's definitely something that helps the community since most mod actions I recall are poking people in the right direction like PAAFM.

Awesome team and community over there, and there is the old wiki pages too 🤔

It's really strange, and testing via ProtonVPN some do and don't work.

But I think where I've found my main issue is the Exit Node I have at a family member's house that I use through Tailscale.

None of them work on that connection and, I don't know if it makes a difference but it is a CGNAT'ed connection whilst my exit node at home seemingly works fine and has an external IP.

Thanks for the confirmation!

Don't fret.

Things like this are #kllledbygoogle next year and some other intern will have a new product name to bolden their advert battalion.

The cycle never ends, and they don't click on that we ain't having it :/

If you've got decent throughput at home buying a rasp pi 3/4 means you can have your own VPN

I'm just waiting for everything they haven't killed to merge onto YouTube

Me and ye both.

Using the "website" YouTube in my mobile browser sucks and I have to disable their "app" because it's a system app for some reason or other, to then allow me to use a better app like Newpipe without their system app popping up in the share menu every time I get an update.

Speaking of updates my Xiaomi just updated to A14, and even thou I have Chrome disabled I now get this....

You couldn't make it up.

I take out Google Play Movies/YouTube/YouTube Music etc on every phone I buy these days especially since YT is a website and should not, be a system app and replaced by Newpipe.

Other than that I also like to delete my DCIM folder every now and then since it gets backed up to "my cloud" and seems to keep things, cleaner?

Shout out to SD Maid if you're keen on cleaning things up?

Google Maps?

I was searching for somewhere the other month and with my phone didn't realise it could superimpose things like that

The main thing about having a screen protector to me is it having a bonus oleophobic coating besides the one that comes with your phone (and gets worn off with shit like hand sanitizer).

That means I can just chuck another one on when it eventually turns to shit and / or I wanna sell / give the phone away and I wouldn't worry too much about "brands".

but I have nothing against the users.

Absolutely, and in 12+ years of using reddit the only accounts funnily enough I've had to block are admin accounts, and I liken the above to users from other subreddits being able to able to interact in other subs until they either

  • get banned by the sub /c/ mods

  • individual users using the block function

Tarring users from instances is like using that SaferBot bullshit which I've never liked.

It's an interesting question this and whether Samsung is willing to use GSI's / DSU.

Last time I checked that was a negative?
