It’s annoying when people get pedantic about spelling on the internet, but at least you weren’t a massive, insufferable arsehole about it.

The second I realise I’m dreaming I wake up.

I think it’s because the second I am some level of conscious the deep rooted anxiety starts again and jolts me up 🙂

Yeah, Lemmy loves to talk about how this won’t work and they’ve moved to Plex, but overall it’s been working great for Netflix.

Eventually the bubble will burst and people will start to drop Netflix, but that’s a way off.

Not gonna lie, really couldn’t get through 2 minutes of the video.

Just so much snobbery in the video, sounds like a TotalBiscuit wannabe but with shit takes and trying to cram fancy words in.

I’m not a fan of this remaster/remake phase in media, but remaking a 23 year old game like this is valid imo.

I’ve also heard great things about this remake and have played some great remakes as well, so this is just hating for the sake of it imo.

I tend to watch shows three or so episodes at a time, but then it can be a few days or even weeks until I get back to it.

Side note: I really appreciate shows that put out a proper recap of the last season. I ain’t rewatching an entire season just so I can watch the new one.

Reducing it to one year made sense, one year down to 10 days is actually a fucking massive difference. Practically speaking, it’s a far, far bigger change than 8 years down to 1.

This isn’t just an “ongoing trend” at this point, it would be a fundamental change to the way that certificates are managed i.e. making it impossible to handle renewals manually for any decently sized business.

I have many billions. Some would say the most billions. The billions I have are the best billions, everyone agrees.

Even though I have the best billions, these journalists, nasty people, they attack me. Just because of my billions, can you believe it?

So anyway, I say who cares what they say, we just need to fight like hell and take back our country ✊

I keep thinking I should look into this MrBeast drama, then I remember I just do not give a single fuck.

I went through a h3h3 phase when I was like 20, then realised that any YT drama is just toxic and it’s best to avoid it entirely.

I miss Tom Scott, just made quality videos with none of the BS. Nothing over the top, just interesting content from a genuine guy who cares about his audience.

I actually know the differences between Asian languages just so that I can be better at racism.

I take it very seriously.

Yeah, too many “journalists” chuck around the term review bombed to mean when a AAA game gets a load of (deserved) hate.

Fuck that guy, but at the same time that’s a ridiculous sentence.

Honestly, you have to be mental to go to one of these countries. I know they want to become tourist hubs, but there’s just so many reasons to avoid.

I just don't get how Lemmy is going to act as a proper replacement for Reddit.

I understand the basic concept of Lemmy and the Fediverse, and people are touting the concept of it being federated and not centrally controlled, but it is an absolute mess and nobody seems to have an idea about what to do with it.

How are communities going to grow if there isn't at least some form of central management. Other than there being an underlying framework that connects the servers, they're all just doing what they want.

Outside of the underlying framework, there's no 'guidelines' or consistency. The servers have random names, and the main Lemmy.ml is telling people to register elsewhere.

How is this going to bring in a wider audience if people are being directed to lemmy.fmhy.ml, sopuli.xyz, or sh.itjust.works?

What is the purpose of the Fediverse when forums for niche interests already exist on the internet?

Does it make sense to have something like a 'sports' server that has communities for soccer, NFL, basketball, MMA? But then how do you get a consistent naming scheme that lets people know it's part of the fediverse?

Maybe Lemmy could work as a replacement, but it seems like it needs a 'flagship' server with a group of people maintaining it to set an example. Then other servers that cover more specific areas, such as sports, can be set up and potentially work closely with that flagship group.

If this doesn't happen, then I can't see how this doesn't just fizzle out.

P.S. I've also compared two different Lemmy servers and looked at the same post in a community, and there are different numbers of comments on each where they haven't synced up...

I also wanted to post this to the main Lemmy community, but as I had to register via a different server, I'm not able to access that community from the server I'm using for some reason...
