You’re right, it’s the same as the lonely people being exploited by Twitch streamers or YT creators.
There’s a point it goes from “supporting a creator” to “throwing money at someone so they acknowledge your existence and you feel validated”.
Honestly part of the reason I stopped watching twitch, it’s just sad at a certain point as these people think they’re actually friends with the creator, rather than just enjoying the stream for what it is.
The whole donation/sub part of twitch culture is disgusting imo.
Jazz is so good. I listen to jazz fusion mainly and I can’t believe some of the stuff I hear from relatively unknown artists.
I don’t have an issue with most mainstream music, but it does make it clear how much popular music is influenced by marketing rather than just the music.

As someone from the UK, I don’t know what to make of the Biden administration.
I see positive news articles about what they’re doing, then I see people (not just right wing) saying it’s going poorly…
Obviously things can always be better and there are going to be areas where they’re failing, but how actually is it going over all?
