Since when? Boomers will click anything you send them, Gen X think they are too clever to be phished on their XP desktop, and Millennials will give you their entire credit history for $50 off a streaming service. The majority of every generation doesn't give a shit about digital privacy.

Fuck them. Life should be hard for the lazy and ignorant.

[continuously makes life hard for himself]

If you made an electric conversion and used an induction motor it could still be stick! Induction motors have a narrow range of useful rmps so the transmission is still needed!

Canada is right behind the USA in this respect. Our politicians are transparently corrupt, our health care is only good when compared to the US and we have an assbackwards vocal right who would vote Trump if only they were given the chance.

Welcome to Ontario. In Ontario, if you qualify, your healthcare is mostly paid for by OHIP (other than medication, glasses, hearing aides, and dental.) It works like this.

OHIP sets the price of treatments, doctors and hospitals do the treatments and then get paid the predetermined amount. BUT doctors run their own practice and hospitals are private businesses that need to turn a profit in order to keep the lights on and continue to offer healthcare. So as the cost of everything goes up the profit margins go down and cuts have to be made. Nurses are paid less, emergency rooms are closed and there aren't enough doctors to go around.

No part of healthcare should be for profit.

If it weren't for VirtualBox I would avoid them all together. It's just so damned convenient though.

It's also not obsolete.

Overall, 46% of Americans say human activity is the primary reason why the Earth is warming. By contrast, 26% say warming is mostly caused by natural patterns in the environment and another 14% do not believe there’s evidence the Earth is warming at all.

Education vs indoctrination. The 46% are willing to sacrifice some quality of life to help solve the problem, the 14% are ready to pick up a gun to maintain theirs.

Ubuntu has a bigger market share in the support department. Makes it easier to find advice that applies specifically to your setup.

Customizing all-in-one distros is a shitty uphill battle that isn't worth the trouble, so I get how Arch is worth the work there. But recommending a kit car when people are asking for a commuter just bugs me.
