It'd be cool if they applied to all of android not just googled android.

Here's a take: If you want higher quality, less gimmicky products, buy business devices. I own a Dell Latitude laptop and a Getac tablet, but I don't have a business phone like this because the custom ROM support might not be as good.

I grew up with a Wii, and never held an n64 controller, so I always will wonder: How do you hold those? Do you hold it like a regular controller and then reach your thumb out to the joystick in the middle, or do you hold the middle grip and then one of the other outer ones, and have to reach as well? Is it subjective?

IIRC swapping sticks is the same on the two

If they have good scores on protondb, it's probably an issue with configuration. First, make sure you're running it with proton. Go to the game's configuration > compatibility and tick "force the use of a specific steam play compatibility tool." then select the highest version of proton available(don't choose experimental if your game is supported according to protondb). Then, click play. if needed, proton will install and this should solve your issue. If it doesn't, then you can delete steam(sudo pacman -R steam), and remove the .steam folder in your home folder. This deletes your configuration for steam, and might help resolve issues. Then, re-install steam(sudo pacman -S steam), and sign in again. Download your game and set up proton as I told you. If that still doesn't work, you'll want to make a post and share the log files.

Yes, I've played it before. Real fun game but not quite tactical.

First off, rooting your tablet will prevent OTA(Over-the-air) updating in most situations, but it's not impossible to get updates. There are ways to acquire new updates and manually flash them, but that will be more difficult than normal. It also should be noted that the A7 Lite is nearing EOL, so it might not even need to be updated soon. If you want to proceed, here are the initial steps.

First step is to unlock the bootloader. This will void the warranty of your device.

Assuming you are on OneUI 6:

  • Go to Settings>About tablet>Software information
  • Tap build number a whole lot, then enter your password(if applicable)
  • Close and re-open the settings app, then scroll down and click on Developer options. Then scroll down and toggle on "OEM Unlocking." If you can't find it, your tablet may be doomed to not be rooted unfortunately, as some carriers hide the option to unlock the bootloader(e.g. Verizon in the US).

That guide is according to my phone running OneUI 6, so it should be accurate to your Tab A7 lite.

If you have any issues, I can try to resolve them.
