The media is desperate for balance. They're not able to say "this man is a deranged fascist who's harmful to the country and the world". They're fighting decades of professional inertia.

They just can't do it; their training doesn't let them. It's kind of like asking a scientist if they're certain that burning fossil fuels causes global warming: their training practically insists that they say "there's strong evidence that it does" instead of "yes, of course it does".

If they came out and said it, they wouldn't be "balanced". When you realize that the media cares more about balance than truth, it helps explain a lot of why we are where we are.

Debian Stable.

It's always the answer to "what distro do I want to use when I care about stability and support-ability.

Apparently, Jews for Hitler are also having some trouble. They're commiserating with the black members of the KKK and the Association of Marxist-Leninist Landlords.

Do they have tiki torches? Are they talking about replacing Arabs?

Because holy shit do these people not have any sense of self awareness.

We're going to get fascism back purely because the neoliberal idea of fucking over everyone for the greater glory of the wealthy, while strip-mining brown people for every bit of value apparently has consequences.

Imagine how nice the world would be if we could have convinced the wealthy to make do with less?

Every right wing party, in every western democracy, is either benefitting from Russian agitprop, if not taking Russian money directly.

Every. Single. One.

Just so everyone know how much of a blue-collar employment apocalypse this would be: "trucker" is the number one job title in most US states, and literally the last decent paying job you can get without a degree in most of them.

Automating it away--without a transition plan because fuck the poor--will devastate most of the Midwest and the South, as well as much of Canada.

If you think you have a problem with angry disenfranchised men now, just wait.

As soon as the "just use site:reddit.com to get around SEO bullshit" became public knowledge it was only a matter of time before this happened.

If you're worried about having done a Milosevic, you probably did.

First they came for trans folk, and I did not speak up, because I'm not trans.

Come on everyone, y'all know the words!

This is such a dumb headline.

The rate of price increases slowing doesn't mean that prices go down. It means that prices increase more slowly.

ETA: we aren't experiencing deflation. And we probably don't want to.
