Start by changing your most important services to your new email, and set your gmail to forward everything to your new email. From then, sign up to new sites with your new email and change emails of old accounts if you have time, it's not a huge rush.

As long as you set up the email forwarding, you've done most of the important work right there.

Fuck no. What is better is p2p, or federated. No Blockchain is needed, and this is one of those examples where Blockchain is jammed into something where it really doesn't need to be, nor should it be. The last thing we want is for our encrypted messages be permanently stored. Element is federated, and they're working on getting it to be p2p. Some nerd will probably mention XMPP too.

When data get cached, then it is being stored on your server. That's why admins are wiping their caches and images are getting deleted.

Think you just described crypto markets, and it'd be overrun with scams, fraud, legal issues, and zero accountability. Also my payment info and shipping address is the very last thing I want given to random decentralized instances ran by unknown people. No thanks.

At least when Amazon sends something shitty, they'll fight back against the seller and you're actually receiving something. Also big tech is significantly less likely to ever expose your personal information (addresses, payment info, etc) then some random instance owner.

So this is absolutely a terrible idea in a digital environment.
