Noted. I guess used the wrong definition for Bazzite and that confused me. LOL.

Good to know that /etc is writable. I might have to download it and give it a spin. Thanks for clarifying.

Have not tried immutable distros, but I like the idea that the core OS is read-only to prevent a rookie user from messing things up.

Then again, if the core OS is read-only, is it at all possible to modify some system files like fstab files to auto-load drives?

Rebel Galaxy. You can't buy the soundtrack separately the music is downloaded as audio files when you install the game. I think the genre is more towards Country Rock. Very interesting and I really enjoyed it.

So I decided to bite the bullet and did a fresh install of Fedora 39 and that appeared to have made the issue go away. In the process of installing updates and configuring it the way I like, the monitor control buttons on both monitors response. So, it seems like the cause of the issue could have been a glitch during an update. Who knows? At least I know that it's not a hardware issue (cross finders). :)

Very interesting. The Asus monitor is probably only 2 years old. It does work fine standalone with a spare laptop of mine that is running Windows 10 though.

That sounds like me. LOL

Agreed. Thief 1 was awesome. When I got to the second level, I noped out of it pretty quickly. Not a fan of the zombie genre and not all games need that sort of spooky atmosphere.

Good to know. I also make use of the free Duck.com redirecting email address so the DDG app is nice to have. Besides, you can never have too many browsers ;p

Best guess is they wanted a very well defined and controlled file structure, where there's a place for each type of file, and the only way to do that is to lock it down and have their tool do all the work. Good for some people, but heck, I bloody well want to store my MP3s together with my photos, even if it means I can't find it later. :D

It worked for me. If you have your own server to instsll Nextcloud, thays the best. There are free Nextcloud hosts with free accounts you can try.
