I was drunk a total of one time in life, during my 21st birthday. My friend said drunk me tried to give away all my gifts like Oprah.

Also was bored and sleep deprived and thought "what if Charles Darwin is simply Socrates pulling a Clark Kent, I should make art of that" before drawing Nietzsche and Tesla in the same roles instead.

Talking about something broader than I tried to emphasize =/= talking about a lack of a point

[-] shinigamiookamiryuu@lemm.ee -1 points 12 hours ago

That is my point. You're talking about something broader than I tried to emphasize.

[-] shinigamiookamiryuu@lemm.ee 0 points 16 hours ago

That we're not talking about the same kind of thing.

Burrows, since they're what lemmings live in.

Kind of, those were some quick stages.

[-] shinigamiookamiryuu@lemm.ee -5 points 22 hours ago

I speak with it in mind there's a difference between "late stage" and the "regular" kind.

I cannot speak for such individuals and I wouldn't say anyone can speak for another's intentions, but historically, it has been said that, if tragedy becomes an expected effect of authority carrying out undesired action, the authority would think twice. What comes off as odd though is here we have overly consequential thinking on both sides. There's a quote that comes to mind, "avenge smarter not harder", and I look down on those who spread the fight like that.

The objective answer is Whiteface Mountain.

The Iroquois or Haudenosaunee, the most profound and most powerful indigenous group encountered by the United States before its full size was reached, deemed Whiteface Mountain to be the home of Tawiskara, the dark god of the Winter, and forbade anyone from going near it, a mistake made by the fertility goddess Onatah as a story once told.

Today, the mountain is a hub both for avid hikers as well as people who like snow activities, since it snows like crazy at the top, said to be the work of Tawiskara, which is half of the explanation of why the mountain has its name (the other half being the Haudenosaunee believed Caucasians to be descendants of Tawiskara and were basically like "yeah that's where your divine ancestor lives"... the things a bad impression will do to people). When you get to the top, it's said that if you look to the North, you can see the Canadian capital from there, which is like hundreds of miles North in a completely other country.

This seems to be something people don’t always give second thought to. When people talk about the homeless, the first things thought about are images of people on busy city streets in rusty clothes waiting around near allies. In there, the answer is quite static, because it can be I guess. But if that’s the case, change the setting and that changes too. In the places where I’ve lived, people often needed that mapped out. Where are they known in your rural locales?

To those from the Western hemisphere, it’s always fascinating to hear that some homes and businesses from the times of the Greek philosophers still have inhabitants, and then you remember that the Western hemisphere is itself not without its own examples, for example some Mexican villages still have temples from the times of the Mayans.

There are some exotic foods we tend to take for granted exist. Almost every city for example has a Chinese restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, and maybe an Outback Steakhouse. But this isn't universal for some reason. Someone asked me if I wanted to go to an Egyptian restaurant and I was like "wait, they have restaurants?"

A question for all those who would say they consider themselves ethnically fluent. What are all the cultural categories of food you've had?

This refers to when two or more people encounter each other in completely coincidental fashion. You might notice your old classmate from three countries away is now your waiter in a place you had no reason to expect them in, and you might say "wow, what a small world". You might notice two people who you know from completely different spheres miraculously know each other. You might recognize by chance that your penpal has made a cameo at a venue you're at.

But what was your most profoundly coincidental encounter?
