Oh god, I really hope my phone doesn't do that when it records. The recording button is on the screen during calls and I accidentally hit it all the time.

Imagine a time before instant communications, where you have no idea how life has treated the recipient since you last saw them and it might take months for your letter to arrive. It is a sincere hope that they are well and that tradgedy has not befallen them.

It would be neurotic and unreasonable if your last update on their life was only days or even hours before, but in the days of letters hope is really all you had. It's just honest.

I used to play a game with a guy who became a mod of it's subreddit. Absolute sweetheart and always the guy putting is hand up to help out or contribute to the group. Guy hated being a mod but something needed to be done to stop it falling apart, so up his hand went as usual.

From the way you've described your mental health problems, I've had similar friends who have found stable, loving relationships. So there's hope, though I know that can be the most infuriating thing to hear.

I'd love to get out of this city. It's a car addicted hellscape with a lot of personal baggage in it. A fresh start would do me so much good. I dream of living somewhere not so fucking car brained.

But if it's just enough money to move, then no. I moved states when I was younger and I can't live again knowing if anything goes wrong I might be homeless with no local support network. At least here I have some family. If I was rich, sure, but not if I have to work to keep a roof over my head.

Can an object be on both sides of the portal at once? Like if I ran a cable from the inside to the outside. I'm trying to work out how to handle water and sewage, because like everyone else I've concluded this is obviously a living space.

Unless Pokemon counts, I don't think I have ever enjoyed a JRPG. I have zero idea what people see in these except weebs getting horny over anime girls.

Is the book so obscure that you wouldn't be able to get a digital copy you could just paste into Chat GPT?

Citizen Sleeper. It's a short game about precarity and human connection. There are a few off ramps out of the current, desperate situation you're in that are usually weighed against letting someone go or leaving things behind. It's unique in games with difficult choices for so rarely about being given compelling reasons to do bad things, just choices that are hard for their emotional consequences.

Yeah, got talked into it by an ex. Wasn't even really about the awkwardness a lot of people talk about.

For me, it was initially hot but I ended up with a deep, hollow feeling. You have the same lack of intimacy with the third that makes one night stands unfulfilling, combined with this sort of violation of the intimacy you had with your partner. I actually felt a bit sick afterwards.

If it's your thing have at it, there are plenty of different relationship styles and kinks that'd make it much more appealing, but personally I would never consider it again.

I came here to say this too. Lots of people buy expensive tools that they only use a couple of times. I respect the buy it for life mindset, but at that level of usage anything you can get your hands on will last.

I've had fewer errors overall than I have Reddit, but your mileage is going to vary drastically based on your instance. I've briefly tried other instances, even fairly popular ones, and I'd describe the experience as nearly unusable.
