I 100% agree, and have Fusion360 in my VM. But there is a method to FreeCAD’s madness and once you get it, FreeCAD begins to make sense.

I found it hard to go back to fusion especially with the amount of control I had with my designs.

Also FreeCAD V1 is out, and it’s a marked improvement over their previous releases. Might be worth a try.

Favourite as in the one I love the most. Model 1 Genesis, or Virtual Boy. Love their aesthetic.

Favourite as in best Library. PS1/PS2. Massive library of games which are still being enjoyed decades after they were launched.

Favourite as in still using. By my books, I’d consider the PS Vita as retro now, if not then the Nintendo DS/PSP.

Honestly since the New 3DS screen is so small, the slight blurring is negligible to my eyes. So long as there isn't certificating in the image, like shimmering and or screen tearing, I don't noticed it.

I love Emulation since it can be on completely different ends of the spectrum. On the one hand you have ROM collections on modern system, like Capcom Arcade Stadium, or TMNT Cowabunga Collection.

On another you have complete reverse engineering project like PCSX-Reloaded, and community developed emulators with retail games are based on, all open sourced and technically legal, so long as you have the hardware, and tools to back the ROMs, BIOS's, and other material required.

Then you have the complete black market, where the ROMs are illegally obtained, the BIOS's are just downloaded from a random server, and the emulators are paying to get access to the latest retail games patches like Yuzu.

All 3 of these interact and play off of each other, like arcade collections using MAME, being able to extract the ROMs from collections to use in emulators, and Nintendo using someone else's ROM dump of their own game for Wiiware. That it's just interesting that emulation works at all.

I personally love it, and try my best to get my ROMs, ISO, and BIOS's without resorting to downloading it.

Not here. More annoyed about them on side walks than bike lanes.

DuckTales or DuckTales 2 for the NES playable in the Disney afternoon collection. TBH most of the games there should be your jam based on Shovel Knights influence.

Hollow Knight based though, Guacemelee is good, not sure about its sequel. Axiomverge too. But they are metroid like games so Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion would be another recommendation.

I wouldn't worry too much about not knowing this. The steam deck is still relatively new and proton/dxvk is improving at such a blinding pace compared to the rest of Linux that my head is still spinning.

From my limited understanding, because of Arch's rolling releases and Valve basing the steam deck on Arch. DXVK the compatibility layer for DX games to vulkan is managed by the distro. How this works is magic is still magic to me. I also think graphic drivers gets pushed on arch early too, since it's a rolling release.

However I am in complete agreement, Arch isn't beginner friendly, I personally like Manjaro and find it friendlier, but that's like having a pet cat, and it's a Bob cat. Sure it's not a Lion, but it's not a Kitty.

They feel nice too. I love chamfering and filleting my designs when possible

Hey my old monitor setup isn't here.

Main display is normal with a laptop underneath, a vertical display to the left with a laptop display on the bottom under the first monitor

I wouldn't consider Fedora or Opensuse TW better than Manjaro. Just trading one issue for another. Honestly I replaced my 1 year old Manjaro install (when I borked my DE) with Fedora.

Fedora lasted 1 month before the btfs filesystem broke and I lost all of my files with no way to recover. Ontop of the difficulty of adding community copr repos for features like XPadNeo, DNF being so slow that Discover would barley function, and being about 2 months behind software fixes for a specific graphic driver bug that prevented me from playing some UE4 game.

Lutris makes installing GOG games with proton pretty easy. Haven't had issues on my end

I can give you my opinion on a ~~Gigabyte~~ Clevo Laptop.

My laptop both ran to fast and hot which drained the battery. This was an issue in both Fedora and Manjaro.

I need to use different utilities to reign in the battery depending on the OS. Fedora it came out of the box but Manjaro I needed to install Slimbook Battery.

The other issue is the networking kills my sleep. Fedora was better with this than Manjaro, but newer versions of Manjaro kill WiFi when you put it to sleep. So it been better.

In comparison with windows while id like it to just work. Being able to tweak it is much preferable.
