Strange how this talk of "collateral" damage only applies to when Israelis kill civilians and not when, say, Hamas or Hezbollah do it.

Using your own despicable and dehumanizing approach, October the 7th merely had 797 "collateral victims" for the 379 legitimate Israeli security forces targets. And after all, the 2:1 civilian to military casualties ratio is basically the same as the IDF's own record in Gaza.

Ah what to do, such is war...

No.

Fuck that barbaric way of devaluing the loss of human life.

What a load of ghoulish warmongering. Oh it's war? If Hezbollah had done this to Israelis, the world would be crying blood and vowing for Israel's right to defend itself.

In the 70s the PLO was labelled terrorist and not negotiated with. Now sane Israelis(*) would dream having the PLO as their adversary.

(*) The right wing (Netanyahu et co) on the other hand funded and supported Hamas.

Oh wait people, the IDF rejected the allegations. Nothing to see here, move along. 😑

Here's a fucking idea: tax wealth.

You want to protect workers? Shitting on people who try to protect the environment isn't it.

Ban union busting, ban arbitrary firing, set up a worker protections.

Do those things first. Then come complain.

Grow some class consciousness.

Arguably, a much more critical job for a capital-intensive army.

In the real world there are no single "true solutions". More social housing is needed. Capping speculation is needed. Taxing empty houses is needed. Building new dense and walkable neighbourhoods is needed. Carefully deflating the bubble to free up capital to productive investments is needed. Retrofitting existing buildings is needed. Housing coops are needed. All these things are needed.

After Ireland gained independence they fought a civil war. Same in countless outer places. The Greeks fought one while fighting for independence. I fully expect the Palestinians to do the same.

The thing is: the Israelis don't get to decide any of this. That what independence from Israel means.

Meunier developed a major pressure sore on his buttocks that eventually worsened to the point where bone and muscle were exposed and visible — making his recovery and prognosis bleak.

He was told the sore — a gaping hole a few centimetres in diameter — would, at best, take several months to heal, according to the experts they consulted.

Don't trivialize the sore.

Also, what is mind blowing is that this monstrosity is nosocomial. The healthcare system gave it to him.

So why would he have any trust to such a system afterwards to care for him with his disability in the long term?? This is a completely catastrophic healthcare failure.

You're right. We should make sure that there is a thorough investigation by some kind of neutral third party to reveal the truth. I propose as a first step to establishing all the evidence that the Israelis should get the fuck out of the West Bank. They are obviously a biased party with a vested interest in this. So they should not have any fucking authority in the area just in case they try any shenanigans.
