I hope he's doing alright. It sounded like TAFE was stressing him out. I look forward to Baku2 posting on here when he's ready

I almost accepted the Windows 11 upgrade last night. That was scary

Oh, I saw my first baby ducks this weekend. Be sure so go to your nearest body of water this weekend to check out all the little floaty fluffs

I totally get this. More places email you asking if you want to opt out of messages around days like father's day. It's good they have that acknowledgement for the people it has bad connotations for

If anyone wants a spiritually market, just hit up the St Andrews market any Saturday. People are selling rocks, hippie clothes and all that stuff.

My dumb ass wanted cheap fruit and vegetables

I went to a job interview yesterday. It finished at 4 and I didn't get home until 6. In that time my girlfriend and mother in law picked up the kids from childcare.

They let the kids be unrestrained in the car park, so one of my boys decides to run off. The MIL is chasing him, hysterical. She has a bad knee so she can't run. My girlfriend was putting the other boy in the car so she couldn't respond straight away. God, what if something happened.

I usually handle pickup because I work from home, and this had never happened to me. I know we'd make things work if I need to fund another job but I still just don't know what we'll do if things don't work out today.

What do people with normal jobs do when both parents are working and their kids are too sick to go to childcare?

I have the one in person event I need to attend tomorrow and the way the kids are going that probably won't happen. Are you supposed to take a day off work every time? Normal people can't do that

Finally found all my micro USB cables, and a watch I've got looking for about a month or so.

My girlfriend will collect things up in a grocery bag and dump it in the front room, or even on my desk, when she wants to clean and feel productive.

Unfortunately that just moves a bunch of unrelated things into a bag together that becomes harder to go through and I lose things because nothing is in a place that makes sense anymore

My girlfriend has finished her first day of her final placement. It would be great if she got a job out of this. It's a more chill childcare centre because it gets direct government funding and it's a 5 minute walk from our place.

She could be out the door at 8 and home at 4. Unbelievable living for an outer suburb like this

A pixel 6 pro phone case fits perfectly over the base plate for things like light switches.

The call nurse button here has a constant bright blue light that's very distracting. The room is almost dark with my phone case over it

It's become apparent to me some of my problems at work are coming from my manager's poor communication skills.

It's time to move on in my own terms before that decision is made for me.

That is great news. I'm happy to hear it
