something like this integrated with space exploration would be super cool as well. im thinking: you can travel to different planets and collect plants from them and they have different genetic traits that you can bring back to your farm and crossbreed them with your plants with a somewhat accurate replication of mendelian and non-mendelian genetics. or maybe this is just my own fantasy as a biologist lmao.

don't make me bring up the mountain of grease-soaked fried foods that brits find acceptable as a meal. even as an american, i haven't seen so much fried food in one place. and i've been to the southern united states many times.

as someone in the united states, this "alabama is the backwards hick place for dumb yokels" thing is pretty annoying and classist.

the newer generations in china have been leading the way in terms of a public opinion shift towards acceptance of LGBTQ people. on social media and in city centers you can find a lot of LGBTQ youth freely expressing themselves from what i've seen.

why is inclusion in an often patriarchal/misogynistic and conservative institution as marriage the end-all-be-all of queer rights? this is such an annoying talking point from liberals. i have heard american conservatives going on national stages and calling for the complete genocide of trans people, but i have not heard of anything like that from chinese politicians.

china has a long road ahead in terms of queer rights, but compared to queer rights (and "rights" like the right to get married, right to die in an imperialist war, etc) backsliding in the west, there's a pretty big difference.

has anyone else been getting tons of ads (on streaming services mostly) literally about this? i keep getting these ads about how you should only purchase natural diamonds because only they matter or something and put some pretty woman in the ad to convince you. it's pretty disgusting to make a commercial promoting diamonds stolen from the global south and brushing off synthetic diamonds even if they are literally the exact same rock.

they definitely can be, but i find that whole area of secrecy very intriguing. we aren't supposed to be listening, yet we can.
