Lol yes. And the state government goes out of its way to fuck with anything Austin does that is progressive.

Also it's full of fucking NIMBYs, just look at the camping bans.

Everyone I've met there has been just the most insufferable uber liberal mother fucker. They'll talk about how bad people of color are treated at one moment and then call the cops when they see a black person moving in the next. Like you said, it's NIMBY central. Even people from Houston are less insufferable

Yeah that's every Democrat Liberal "Haven" just insufferable liberals with money thinking that makes them better enough to speak on behalf of others.

You want to go where people are actually progressive or understand the struggle, find the city sections where people still work for their meager bread. You start to understand why every single city would go blue until the Democrats lost even their pretend love for the working class. It's hard to not want actually better for others when you are surrounded by people also struggling but making it work.

Austin is a place for people who only pretend to know strife and have the money to hide it anyways.

I work in the Austin area and have to drive 90 minutes to work because the housing prices in Austin have tripled in the last few years.
