This is one of those things most people won’t pay attention to, but if this guy gets DNC chair…

Pelosi has already thrown her weight around for a lower position. She will here as well.

She should be careful throwing her weight around like that, might lose her balance again.

Eh, at least this time there's a chance.

When a dem wins the presidential they pick someone and no one else gets any votes.

It's a deep cut, but my biggest criticism of Obama (and I have a good amount) is he just ignored the DNC instead of of appointing someone who shared his vision of the party.

That allowed Tim Kain (Hillary's VP pick) to take the reigns and then DWS who resigned and was awarded with an easy House seat after it came to light she was directly coordinating the DNC with Hilary's primary campaign in 2016.

Like...

I honestly don't think people understand that getting Obama elected got us right up to the finish line for real actual change...

And at the last second he just didn't follow thru.

A progressive DNC chair from 08-16 that let the primary be a fair fight and Bernie would have followed and we'd be exiting from his second term right now. The Republicans would have likely pivoted back to center and Trump running for president would be a forgotten memory from almost a decade ago.

So much shit and pain caused cuz Obama was bitter the DNC opposed him in the 08 primary for Clinton and then didn't support him in the general. Obviously it's more the fault of Hillary and her people, but we really rallied around Obama, got him elected...

And he just didn't follow thru for whatever reason.

Democratic Party in a nutshell, from 1948 to 2024.

Democrats can't get anything done, Republicans get bad things done. Tale as old as time.

Well, it wasn't very long that he had much of an opportunity, but also:

This is not some bothsiderist thing. I'll gladly take Obama over the wrecking ball coming in January. However, he was really center-right when it comes down to it...
