Does anybody else don't like to stick to obligatory celebrations for yearly holidays/anniversaries? (lemmy.world)

I prefer to have same things all the days of the year. This extra pressure to celebrate on occasions feels so forced. I like the extra time I have for myself on holidays and don't have it waste on things on obligatory celebrations.

Just let me be with me and my PC.

This is the vibe I'm feeling on this new year's eve. Does anybody else feel this way?

Playing alone on the PC is nice but not liking celebrating, being with family, and getting off the keyboard for a day is kind of ridiculous. I love so much work and play I do on my machines but one’s life isn’t the computer

I like time with my family. I just don't want it to be extravagant.

Being on keyboard doesn't me I shut myself from all social interactions.
