What a bovine moment, absolutely mootiful. A tail as old as time, just hope the moment isn't seen as too horny or that they don't milk it too much.

[Sarcasm] The genociders change the rules to commit more genocide you say? Who would have ever thought.

[-] SweetCitrusBuzz@beehaw.org 9 points 10 hours ago

Yes, exactly this. Electoral politics is plauged by who is up for elections, often, even if they promise certain things (and then can't or won't actually do them). We should vote for the actual policies, then no body will matter and we will actually have a real say, not this bullshit 'representation' we supposedly have currently.

heck yeah, welcome fellow gentoo user!

Edit: Just in time for xfce 4.20 to become stable soon too!

[-] SweetCitrusBuzz@beehaw.org 2 points 14 hours ago

Can we just get rid of them already? There is nothing good about them.

[-] SweetCitrusBuzz@beehaw.org 8 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

Of course they will. Any surveillance, especially constant is going to be misused. That is why surveillance, especially constant is a bad idea in general no matter who wields it.

The sign needs to remove "broken windows" and then I'd be for it.

Cops cannot and will not fix anything and are a nuisance to have around. They are pests regardless of how they actually allegedly do their jobs. We need community and to put the money that could be saved into things which actually work like community support and more third spaces, not a constant surveillance force that is ready to pounce on us the moment we 'step out of line' of what some authoritarian dolt thinks is acceptable.

This is why it's very important to support independent, self published media! Especially that which has something important to say and progresses us forward. Not just the same old uninspired unthinking reflection of a society in desperate need of saving but that does nothing with it, just accepts the status quo.

I'm just worried it'll become normalised to be reuploads instead of original stuff.

[-] SweetCitrusBuzz@beehaw.org 2 points 1 day ago

It needs more uploads created by the people behind the accounts rather than low effort reuploads of other's content.

[-] SweetCitrusBuzz@beehaw.org 3 points 1 day ago

Heck yeah, something original.

The only problem with loops so far is its full of reuploads of other people's content which I consider bad and also boring. Folks should make their own stuff.

I usually use typical or conventional instead of traditional, normal etc.

Edit: You could probably also use normative.

Xfce 4.20 has been released with experimental Wayland support for most of the critical components, whilst a few pieces of functionality aren't working or at least not fully, it can be used by 'advanced' users, but expect bugs and some functionality missing.

An excellent video about how (long) covid and other diseases/pandemics are awful and how capitalism and governments loves to ignore them in hopes that things will 'carry on' as normal thus creating social stigma and work policies that disable people more and more.

Yes, I said it and mean it.

It has 'NPCs' that feel way more alive than anything bethesda ever put out and even an anarchist faction that so far acts like actual anarchists do/would in real life not the common idea of anarchists in most media.

Apart from the ocassional crashes (even with the patch), this is a great game/mod and I highly recommend trying it out if you have Fallout 4.

Edit: You can get it here

Instructions on how to install on Steam are here

Instructions on how to install on linux are here (though you can skip installing Buffout as the latest patch has it already). I do recommend installing it through Heroic if you have a gog account though, makes it a lot easier than Lutris ime.

Make sure you turn off weapon debris, you can do this by finding Fallout4Prefs.ini for both Fallout 4 and Fallout London (just in case) and setting the following options thusly:

[NVFlex] bNVFlexEnable=0 iQuality=0 bNVFlexInstanceDebris=0 bNVFlexDrawDebris=0

An absolutely wonderful and deep insight into all the problems with revolutionary and other social movements, from the self serious martyrs that base their ideas on being the hero and get burned out to the rejection of rest, older wisdom and other such things it is a very much necessary message in this time of so much uncertainty.

Know where you are going, not just what you're trying to move away from.

An absolutely fantastic look at how goth is overwhelmingly white and all the problems that causes in it by Shonalika.

This looks amazing!

We cannot wait to be terrified and exploring the depths, possibly in multiplayer this time (if the trailer is anything to go by).

We were wondering if the docs etc here could be rewritten in such a way so as to not call all of us human since some of us are not.

Much like being transgender, being otherkin, alter{human/being} or transspecies can have a lot of dysphoria attached to it and we have had to at least explicitly tell one person on lemmy that we are not human even though it is in our profile.

We think that being more inclusive is always a good thing and will gladly work with those who can edit the docs etc in order to find more inclusive ways to say what needs to be said without misspeciesing any{one/many}.

Thanks for reading this and we hope this finds y'all well.

I have looked through the app I use (mlem) and the web interface but I can't figure out how to give a link post an image, as when I try to put something into the image section it replaces the link.

So how is it done exactly? Is this some setting, special script or app feature I don't know about? Or have I missed something?
