Yeah I'm not surprised a single developer project would end, I'm just surprised something with such a good rep only had one maintainer! Huge credit to them for all their effort, hopefully this prompts a larger group to pick up the work.
~~Is there a reason given anywhere?~~
I’ve worked on this project a decade. That is a long time and I need to move on in life.
They don't have them every week but here is a list of all the ones I've grabbed recently
Look at the link at the top of this comment thread, great read and tells you how small the teams were back then
To add to this there's a project called linux-surface which provides a custom kernel to work with the surface (and a load of general advice). There's also a subreddit if you still go to the old place and a few decent discussion threads if you search "surface" in this very community.
Yep, David Doak gave us GoldenEye, TimeSplitters, and apparently this lost relic too!
Couldn't you just do that with Bluetooth like 20 years ago?
Nintendo learned the wrong lesson from the Wii and Switch
What, you mean their two best-selling home consoles?
It kind of is Windows' fault for letting them fuck about in kernel space though, right?
Wait a minute, this isn't !linuxmemes@lemmy.world!
My hope is that this kind of thing is a small step towards normalisation. It starts of taboo to even talk about, then it becomes a joke, then maybe one day it's just another thing that you need to do you get through the day. Everyone's bodies go wrong eventually, no need to add insult to injury!
Wow, what a great community, the moderator must be very cool and handsome!
