Because nothing is real, everything is a game, and us poors are just pieces.

Same. Me and a buddy were on a stretch of highway with no exits or entrances that was downhill for a few miles, so decided to see what my Nismo could do. It was surprisingly smooth up to 167 (American units), but the wind was almost deafening. Let it come down and 90 felt like a crawl.

This was 15 or so years ago, and I can easily say something I would never do again, perhaps the difference between early 20s and late 30s. I still enjoy a spirited ride, but can't get out of the back of my head all the possible things that could go wrong.

I may have missed it in this article, though I believe I read elsewhere, that she got busted down one rank and that's it. I know military in general is having retention and recruitment issues, but to me this is more than just a busting down offense. That the senior enlisted on a ship would so nonchalantly disregard OPSEC demonstrates either a clear lack of understanding, or worse, something more nefarious.

We saw a naval officer relieved of command for having the scope backwards on his rifle. This, to me, rises to a much higher level.

Definitely thought you meant hair plugs at first, and that there was an app to give you male pattern baldness.

Yeah, IIRC it is the route for hazmat trucks. Gonna fuck with a lot of businesses down the line for a bit too.

As an aside, they used to have a rave down in the park under the west side of the bridge a decade or so ago, and it was always awesome being on the beach stage looking at that bridge at night and as the sun would come up.

There are government text messages and local websites and all sorts of ways of reaching people. Unfortunately, X probably reaches ten times as many people. I think a diversified approach makes sense.

That being said, us gov has sent the text messages and that seems to be the best way to do it. Everyone has a phone. And if you don't, then you like to live on the edge.

I think the point is you can't put a search term into a search engine and get results from some random Discord. No body is going to go trawling through Discords to then use the search function to potentially find information from it. Now, if chats were somehow archived and could then be searchable, different story, but I don't think that's what people using Discord want from Discord.

AI = computer. That's it. The same people who called your Xbox Nintendo are using AI as a blanket term for ... anything.

I was born during an absolute boom int he economy. Late '80s and '90s were awesome. '90s were fantastic, just fucking pumping.

I'm working my balls off and putting money into an IRA that I watch essentially disappear every day. I have 529s for my kids that are in the negative returns. I have plans to put an addition on my home that I'll never do, because a 180 square foot addition shouldn't cost 75% of what I paid for the house in 2014. And the crazy thing is I'm a lucky one. It is just sad, and I'm not sure there is an end in sight without some sort of massive reset.

I know Jersey City has made a big push to bikify the city, and limited parking in new high-density development, with the idea being if you build it, they will come. It's part of an overall plan that they date out to 2060. Shit takes time. Doesn't mean you don't try though, that's for sure. I'm hopeful.

It's just one challenge at the federal level that makes this all go away. Hopefully. Unless higher courts are incompetent or equally corrupt. But this is America right, where things like that don't happen because of the Constitution or some shit.

I preferred the Little Mermaid, the Ugly Duckling, and of course the Emperor's New Groove, but his commentary on graphics in Starfield is also a compelling work.

A technical disaster, but sure, I'll keep coming back. Can't wait to reminisce about the days when it was a technical disaster, though.

Also, posted from my PC, because doing anything on Jerboa has proven impossible.
