I had to look this one up. Why the Proud Boys Initiation Ritual Involves Cereal

I would say these are a bunch of frat boys who peaked in college but I think they are just cosplaying what they think being in a frat would be like.

Yosef Ozia, a member of the Southern Proud Boys chapter who’s based in Atlanta, Georgia, told Extra Crispy that this all stemmed from a fart joke. Yep, a fart joke. McInnes introduced this step based on a rule his buddies had in the past: if someone farted, they’d get beat on until they could list five kinds of breakfast cereal. “It doesn’t mean anything,” Ozia said. “[Initiation] is mostly a joke. A lot of people take it seriously, and they shouldn’t really.”

This seems more like taking a tank through a screen door. The separation is barely there to begin with.

This is why I prefer "smart" controls for dumb things. If the control gets bricked I can replace it or the thing will still work without it.

Israel really is like that spoiled kid in the neighborhood who's dad is rich and powerful. He sits there and throws rocks and makes fun of everyone and then runs and hides behind dad.

Now we're at the point where neighborhood pets have gone missing and dad just thinks it's odd while he looks for his hunting knife.

Little Israel would never do anything really bad. He just gets a bit rambunctious. He's too young to know any better.

You mean Iran right? That's why we need severe consequences because Iran is doing this?

Right?

Right?

Are we the badies?

Instead, the Kentucky Republican — who didn’t mention Trump’s name once — said he was taken aback by Republicans supporting Orbán despite his apparent allegiance to Russia, China and Iran.

Guess he hasn't gotten the memo yet that his party prefers Russia.

“Those people . . . ” Donald said, trailing off. “The shape they’re in, all the expenses, maybe those kinds of people should just die.”

“I don’t know,” he finally said, letting out a sigh. “He doesn’t recognize you. Maybe you should just let him die and move down to Florida.”

Wait! What did he just say? That my son doesn’t recognize me? That I should just let him die?

Did he really just say that? That I should let my son die . . . so I could move down to Florida

A better question would be what are you going to do to make sure the orange Mussolini doesn't win?

Make sure you, your friends, and your family are Registered to vote.

Make sure everyone you know gets to the polls on our before election day.

Become a poll worker.

We need to make sure we vote in numbers too big to steal. In 2000 the election was handed to Bush by the Supreme Court because of one state. Looking at the last term, the court would absolutely find a way to shift the election to the con in chief if it was just one swing state with irregularities.

Talk to people about project 2025 and what it will mean. This is how the guardrails from 2017 are removed. This is how we start a Christian theocracy. If we vote blue all the way down, the Dems may be able to put stronger rails in place. If it's not Project 2025 it will be Project 2029. These conservative think tanks have been doing this since Reagan, but this is by far the scariest.

Talk to friends and family about the Biden administration wins. It's not just Biden you're voting for, it is a continuation of his administration.

Bottom line, this is likely the most important election of many of our lives. All of us must participate.

They don't care if he did. I'd argue most of his supporters in the party (Mike Johnson for example) know that he is a horrible person but will support him because he has energized a dormant portion of the voting population that can help them to gain and hold power. Trump himself isn't even that bad, he's a useful idiot who gives immense power to far right organizations like the heritage foundation.

I recently went in for the snip because I'm in a state that wants to keep rolling back rights and already have a pretty awesome kid. My area also has a population of people who I don't quite understand that were definitely judging me for my choice.

I went to a highly rated urologist office that was a part of my insurance plan, though the procedure isn't covered, other aspects like the initial consultation were. The first receptionist I talked with quickly changed her tone toward me when I said I wanted a vasectomy and made a big deal about not being sure my insurance was accepted. She said she would call me back by EOD after she checked my insurance. This was midmorning on a Thursday. I never heard back. I called back a week or so later, different receptionist. She put me on hold for a few minutes to verify my insurance plan and we set an appointment for the consultation.

On the day of the consultation, the nurse who showed me to the exam room visibly changed her demeanor as soon as I stated why I was there. Thankfully the doctor was all business and the nurses assisting spring the procedure a few weeks later were professional and kind.

There are definitely some medical professionals out there who want to put their own beliefs over those of their patients. I didn't think it was as prevalent as it likely is.

While it has not yet been enforced, my employer has an MDM. Because I do not want to violate this policy or install something that gives my employer access to my device, I do not use my personal device for work and I do not have a work device other than my laptop.

This has given me some interesting perspectives.

  • I do not need to be connected at all times.
  • I can walk away.
  • They pay me for work hours, not for my free time.
  • I can easily disconnect every night and weekend, even emergencies in my area can wait.

Seems people think things are much more urgent than they should be or actually are.
