Mainly I'm going to slave these bitches […] I'm going to make them work even more hours and hours and hours.. I work these bitches like slaves. […] SLAVE work. Minimum 10 or 12 hours a day."
"I don't want to tell them that they have OnlyFans, I want that money to be used by me and you, screw them…"
"I don't want them to have the passwords, I don't want them to have anything."
I think an easier way to understand it - anyone can host a lemmy instance, and they will talk to other lemmy instances. It’s like if anyone could make and host their own subreddits on their own websites, and they would by default be accessible from Reddit.
So I have a lemmy.world account (and I think you do too), but the person you responded to has a lemy.lol account. We have accounts on different websites, but they use the same language and can talk to each other. We see this conversation on lemmy.world, they see the same conversation on lemy.lol.
I’m not sure how ready we are for the conversation about how GamerGate laid the groundwork for what we are experiencing now. (Or the earlier rumblings of ElevatorGate…)
Peter Thiel shut down Gawker for outing him. The Hulk Hogan stuff was a stunt to cover that up.
Also helps them get away with hiding shoddy/cheap parts.
~2018-2020 Hondas have defective air condensers. They aren’t rated for the refrigerant. They are basically guaranteed to fail. You also have to go to a dealership to get your AC serviced. There’s a warranty for the AC, but it’s that dealer that checks whether your AC meets the warranty or not (amazing how easy it is to find bits of debris and deny the warranty when no third party can double check.)
You could crack open an original Xbox and do a lot of modifications with it. The Xbox 360 was designed to be as annoying to take apart as possible, possibly to hide the cheap components that lead to the red ring of death…
The meds I’m on control them (although I’ve basically got no information from doctors on why I had them/what could be done to prevent them in the future - medical care here is not great). I’d rather not drive, but there is no public transport where I live and I need to hold down a job.
Reminds me of the Dustmen from Planescape: Torment. Maybe in our future, even death won’t be a retirement.
I started having double vision (and have a history of seizures). I drove myself to the Urgent Care, who told me to drive to the ER, who let a medical student look at me for fifteen minutes, and then sent me home (I drove back).
At least it was only a few hundred dollars wasted, instead of a few thousand with the ambulance.
It’s just gross. The conversation one of these journalists had with the bot shows how faux this diversity is.
It reminds me of Levi’s using AI to diversify their models.
There’s something sick in hiding actual black, queer, hell fat bodies and voices while claiming to be promoting diversity.
It’s Route 66 memorabilia - shit like “oh shit this is an oddly round barn” is considered notable. There’s also a whale that looks like a fifth graders paper mache project.
Also a convenient place to dump non-inheriting sons.
