At some meeting someone asked: "AI is going to change everything. How is it going to change the Windows experience"? And recall was the best they could come up with.

Anybody notice that the cybertruck looks like a "refinement" of the taste that brought us the Aztec?

You can't reason with racism. They believe he was essentially an Arab, and that is the source of his violence. Also, his race makes him unworthy to attack white Christians no matter how "righteous" the motive.

It's kinda like the Daniel Penny vs. Luigi Mangioni dynamic. Murder is not wrong per se, just who has station and authority to kill whom.

"spices" were valued for their exclusivity, or because rich people ate them.

For example, allium plants like garlic and onion were viewed with suspicion and disgust, even considered poisons. This isn't because they don't taste good, more that anybody with a garden could grow them. Meanwhile, spices like nutmeg, which only grow in far-off places were coveted.

This is also the probable explanation for prohibitions on pork. Pigs are the meat of the poor, because you don't need much land or resources to raise them. That old wives tale about trichinosis implies that ancient people were too stupid to cook their pork thoroughly while consuming chicken and fish that had the same illness and parasite problems as pigs.

This article's reasoning is faith based. The cornerstone assumption is that industry profits and layoffs obey the preferences of the market.

To those who follow the industry, this is demonstrably false. What follows is the lack of awareness on full display:

and even though Spider-Man 2 sold more than 11 million copies, several members of Insomniac lost their jobs when Sony announced 900 layoffs in February.

When I was a kid, I thought people who lived like that were just on TV. Middle class existence was as relevant to my experience as robot maids and talking cars.

Honestly I'm still a little suspicious. Hollywood contrivances are a history of how we think of ourselves, not of how we are.

This is like a soup joint that's trying to see how much they can piss in the broth before customers notice.

Reminder: this is the same Teamster that spoke at the Republican convention, making these comments to Tucker Carlson.

You probably shouldn't take this at face value and assume this was her attitude toward labor in general.

This man owns a two story home in the Chicago suburbs with an attic and a basement. The conflict of the story is how he won't be able to add a pool to this palace. He lusts after some random girl at the mall when Beverly DiAngelo is right there.

I will never relate to this man.

I mean, Musk isn’t totally wrong, the F-35 isn’t all we’d hoped for. It had a well documented history of cost over-runs, problems in development, and failing the way all multi-tools do, they generally don’t do as good of a job as specific tool

Your views hew ridiculously close to talking point that heavily associated with Russian state media. Please don't be offended, this isn't an insult It's an FYI.

Ask yourself: how does the F-35 (in cost overruns, accidents, re-designs, ect..) compare to other fighter jets developed by the US and her allies? If you don't know, wonder how you only bumped into info that paints the project in a bad light. Who benefits from the F35 being perceived as a boondoggle?

Youtuber Lazerpig addresses all of this directly and with sources if your interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxVsS9ZNUOU

If you think about it, every tech is just radio. And I don't just mean cellular, wifi, and bluetooth, There are few things on an SoC that aren't just refinements and miniaturizations of radio tech.

I've always been told that Hitler was a masterful public speaker; that his support can largely be explained by his compelling, if not mesmerizing hold on crowds. This narrative is not common, it's universal.

Sometimes I think this is emphasized over how much the crowds approved of the content of his speech.

How do native German speakers feel when they view footage of Hitler? Do you think the reputation is earned?

I use a box fan to help dry the dishes in the dishwasher. Recently I mistakenly pointed the fan away from the dishes instead of toward them. This appears to be faster and more effective than my normal method. Why?
