Three of Handy’s co-defendants—Joan Andrews Bell, Jean Marshall, and Paulette Harlow—are in their 70s; Bell is longtime anti-abortion activist who has been arrested hundreds of times for similar clinic invasions, and inspired some of the other co-defendants to join the clinic blockade, according to local news station WUSA9.

Absolutely incredible what they let white conservatives get away with.

Hundreds of times? Multiple hundreds? Let's generously assume she manages to invade a clinic a month. Then she been doing that nonstop for nearly twenty years minimum. Hundreds is hyperbole, right? Right?

~~According to a linked article, she's 28.~~

Edit: fake news

Fetus stealer was 28 when she was arrested, the one who's been arrested hundreds of times is in her 70s.

I hope these were discarded fetuses. Getting an abortion can be a very hard decision and some women want to have the fetus cremated afterwards. It speaks to this piece of shit's utter lack of empathy that she'd steal them.

THEY ARE WOMEN'S HEALTH CLINICS NOT ABORTION CLINICS

In September, Handy’s attorneys said they wanted to appeal her conviction to the Supreme Court and try to reverse the FACE Act. “Since the Dobbs decision that reversed Roe, there’s a very serious question about whether the federal government has any further interest in the abortion issue,” lawyer Martin Cannon of the right-wing Thomas More Society, told the Washington Examiner, “whether there’s any federal interest at stake that has to be protected under federal law, as opposed to just having the states enforce their own laws about trespass and disorderly conduct or even state FACE-like statutes.”

My stomach dropped reading this. Because of course this is next. It's going to be sneaky and small especially if this isn't an issue you are particularly sensitive to, but it is going to continue to grow. Roe was a massive blow. These are the aftershocks for the next one.

The FACE Act was enacted in the 1990s to prohibit anti-abortion protesters from blocking entry to abortion clinics

I'm pretty sure Republicans would say it's ok to run her and her friends over.

Is "activist" the right term here? Pretty sure this is criminal.

I wonder how someone like this squares it away in their According to her beliefs she was keeping dead human bodies in her house.

That she ever made it out of the uterus is itself an argument in favor of abortion.

I bet she was using them for the occult. Or at least that is the rumor I would like to spread. Get a reverse pizzagate going.
