No thanks. After the BC election I don't think my mental health can handle watching another circus where people line up to vote away their rights.
Let hope this next one isn't as close as ours was. I'd like to know that our rights are secure by something more than 9 votes in one riding.
Well that comment aged like milk.
I've had enough of the talking heads. I'm just going to check in on the AP News results map occasionally. Fortunately I have a few days off, so I'm going to distract myself otherwise.
Thank you for the link ๐
I'm sure I'll get constant updates whether I like it or not

Or just donโt.
So we meet at diefenbunker.ca? Sounds like a plan! ๐
What I learned from living in the US during the previous 2 elections :
There is no real upside to watching this closely. Like the comments on a Youtube video, for your own mental health just dont.
The thing is, it's not going to be settled by the end of the day, and you're not going to be able to avoid hearing about it.
I'm extremely interested, but during election day I've taken a very "holistic"(?) approach to following along.
There will be no way to avoid it completely short of hiding in a cave all day. As for it being over... the results will most likely be known by days end, but since one side is committed to not accepting those results the next few weeks could be unprecedented.
Well, unprecedented is a bit of a stretch. Since last time that party failed at a coup. I guess if they succeed this time, it's unprecedented in the US.
Ha. I'm going to take a bunch of edibles and listen to music on my old school iPod and sleep 12+ hours.
With a drink and a lingering sense of dread?
Iโm going to watch BBC coverage. The best way to watch US elections is from another continent.
I think tonight Iโm going to leave my phone in the other room and watch movies.
Nothing will be decided tonight with how close the polling is.
You should do that tommorrow instead. They aren't voting today.
Yes, thank you
I guess I had a case of the Mondays
