Finally after years and years of asking record stores and second hand vinyl markets on the off chance they might have a copy (that wasn't stupidly priced)...

  1. Awesome gift :D

A glass of wine. Doesn't need to be in glass just a coffee mug or any receptacle will do.

Crispy porchetta with roast vegetables and gravy, followed by a pavlova with strawberries and passionfruit topping please Chef. Champagne to drink. And an antacid tablet and a nice dark place to sleep it all off.

instructions to chefPut those toasted cheese sandwiches down immediately! I don't care if they have pickles in them, you MUST have a proper meal.

Could you take these oysters to Santa please? I told him I am giving him a dozen oysters for his hard work.

I'm in two minds about whether I should get a new phone. The one I have right now (from the Samsung A range) has been randomly restarting, and my sister who has the same phone, has had that happen to her. I don't want to get rid of the phone until it's on its last leg, but maybe it's time for a factory reset.

Quiz time - how well do you remember 2024 in pop culture?

[-] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 6 points 2 weeks ago

8/30

Pretty much all guesses.

[-] TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 6 points 2 weeks ago

7/30 and I was surprised to get that much. Some lucky guesses.

[-] underwatermagpies@aussie.zone 5 points 2 weeks ago

I got 8/30, clearly I've paid no attention.

Decided to grab biryani. Went for a chicken 65 biryani with medium spice and a mango lassi. Gonna get a takeaway and eat at home because it's very very busy. The lassi is great! Just waiting on the biryani

This area is so much better than the last one, seriously. So many fantastic places to eat in a 5-10 minute flat (not uphill!) walk, and everywhere has good prices and are really lovely

E: they put coriander in it :( All I can taste is Palmolive dishwashing liquid

Lamb in the airfryer, coleslaw all ready for eating and garlic dip about to be opened!

My aunt made bons bons with mini alcohol bottles, chocolate and mini block Christmas themed Lego. She also wrote the jokes and trivia questions herself. Was cool!

Opinions requested: 24ยฐ inside still (17ยฐ out) but I've acclimated, so it doesn't feel hot or even toasty. It's comfortable for now

Since it will hit the 30s today, reckon I should open up my windows overnight to get things a bit cooler for the morn and close when I wake up? I don't think there'll be any avoiding it, it'll probably simmer at about 28 whether I open the window now or not. Just a matter of when

[-] just_kitten@aussie.zone 5 points 2 weeks ago

I'm an idiot and forgot to set the AC on a timer before leaving. At least the blinds are down and windows closed. Oh well, just gonna rack up bills cooling the place down when I get back.

What did you end up doing with the windows?
