I’m late for a useful reply, but I just want to say that I hope your Deck is okay.
Thank you!
Desiccant is fairly inexpensive and available at places like Walmart or your local hardware store. I'd recommend that for 24 hours or so.
Rice is not a good idea. It barely wicks the water away and normally just adds other odd things that'll interact with the water and cause additional corrosion.
yup. rice is basically one of the worst things you can do. Unless your goal is to have rice dust in your electronics which will turn into goo when it gets moist
Moving air is the best way to remove liquid. Place it in front of a fan instead of putting it in rice.
Ideally in front of an A/C vent pumping out dried air.
Leave it off for a few days and stick it near a dehumidifier if you have one. As long as it stays off until it's completely dry it should be okay.
Agree with the other commenter that rice isn't the best bet. Even if nothing 'bad' happens, it can get stuck in the heat sink and/or get moldy if you don't get it all out.
If you're really worried, you could take the shell off the deck off and dry the inside.
It'll probably be ok if you let it dry out first. As others have said, rice doesn't actually do anything beneficial, other than keep people from using their device for awhile.
opening up the deck is super duper easy, you could check if there is any water left inside if you want to be sure.
